Designed by Rawlings Architects and developed by Joel Braver, the property will yield 14 residential units, ground-floor retail space, and a community facility at the intersection of Hudson and Canal Streets, just to the west of the entrance to the Holland Tunnel.
The affordable housing lottery has launched for 321 Wythe Avenue, a 19-story mixed-use building in Williamsburg, Brooklyn. Designed by ND Architecture and Design and developed by Watermark Capital Group, the structure yields 134,995 square feet with 130 residences and 5,218 square feet of medical offices. Available on NYC Housing Connect are 39 units for residents at 130 percent of the area median income (AMI), ranging in eligible income from $68,538 to $167,570.
A trio of new renderings from INOA Architecture offer a first look at 500 Flatbush Avenue, a new seven-story mixed-use building in East Flatbush, Brooklyn. The corner lot previously sat vacant for years until local developer Daniel Halevy purchased the property under 510 Kingston Partners LLC.
Permits have been filed for a seven-story mixed-use building with affordable housing at 504 West 49th Street in Midtown West, Manhattan. Located between 10th and 11th Avenues, the lot is two blocks west of the 50th Street subway station, serviced by the C and E trains. Joel Kolkmann of Douglaston Development is listed as the owner behind the applications. Permit details also specify this is a Department of Housing Preservation and Development project.
Construction is going vertical on Waterview at Greenpoint, a two-tower residential development along Newtown Creek on the Greenpoint, Brooklyn waterfront. Designed by CetraRuddy and developed by Clipper Equity, the 811,000-square-foot project consists of the 30-story, 222-unit 77 Commercial Street and the 40-story, 298-unit 87 Commercial Street, which will rise from a shared seven-story podium. Of the 720 units, 200 are slated as affordable. A 300-car parking garage will also sit below grade. Waterview at Greenpoint is rising at the confluence of Commercial and Box Streets on a plot that once housed a two-story, 95,000-square-foot warehouse. Ray Builders Inc. is the general contractor,Hatfield Group is serving as the facade consultants, and WSP is the structural engineer.
