Permits Filed for 3022 Brighton 14th Street, Brighton Beach, Brooklyn

A 2.5-story home in Brooklyn’s Brighton Beach neighborhood is about to bite the dust, with new building applications now filed for its six-story replacement, at 3022 Brighton 14th Street. The first four floors of the mixed-use structure will have a school, while the fifth, sixth, and penthouse levels will be occupied by an ambulatory diagnostic/treatment center. The total area is set to comprise just shy of 24,000 square feet. Ruslan Goychayev of RSLN Architecture PLLC is designing, and Igor Zagranichny of 1123 Ocean View LLC is the developer.

American Museum of Natural History’s Gilder Center Expansion Ready to Move Forward, Upper West Side

Back in October of 2016, YIMBY reported on the Landmarks Preservation Commission’s approval of plans for the American Museum of Natural History’s expansion, which has been dubbed the Gilder Center. Now, permits for the project have been filed with the Department of Buildings, indicating that work is about to begin on the contemporarily-minded addition to one of New York City’s most iconic institutions.

Permits Filed for Mixed-Use Structures at 61-10, 61-12 182nd Street, Fresh Meadows, Queens

Fresh Meadows is about to see two adjacent new developments at 61-10 and 61-12 182nd Street, just south of the Long Island Expressway. Each of the buildings will have a total construction area of about 6,200 feet, with both having 1,718 square feet of commercial space on their ground levels, topped by 2,626 square feet of community facility space, to be occupied by an ambulatory, diagnostic, or treatment center. Anthony Ng of Architects Studio NY is designing the two structures, and Zhou Xu of 182 Plaza LLC is listed as their developer.
