Known as Broadway Triangle, the wedge-shaped plot of land sits at the intersection of Williamsburg, Bushwick, and Bedford-Stuyvesant and will eventually give rise to a five-building housing complex for low-income households and the formerly homeless.
Permits have been filed for a seven-story mixed-use building at 1300 Castle Hill Avenue in Westchester Square, The Bronx. Located between Westchester Avenue and Lyon Avenue, the corner lot is steps away from the Castle Hill Avenue subway station, serviced by the 6 train. Barbara Sopher is listed as the owner behind the applications, under the 1300 Castle Hill Owner LLC.
Urban View Development Group is responsible for multiple, ongoing developments in central Bushwick, Brooklyn. The firm’s most recent project, a 5-story residential building, will replace an existing low-rise structure at 1206 Putnam Avenue and will comprise approximately 32,000 square feet.
Construction is well underway on a four-story mixed-use building at 503 Evergreen Avenue in Bushwick, Brooklyn. The rising structure will comprise just over 9,000 square feet and top off at a modest 55 feet above ground.
On their Instagram page, ODA Architecture recently released a new rendering for its upcoming mixed-use residential project at 208 Delancey Street. The site is located on the Lower East Side near the foot of the Williamsburg Bridge, between Pitt Street and Ridge Street on an L-shaped plot. Designers were forced to work around an existing five-story building on the corner of Delancey and Pitt, adding to the structure’s distinctive look. 208 Delancey Street is being developed by New Empire Real Estate Development while Shiming Tam Architect is serving as the architect of record. The closest subway is the F train at the Delancey Street subway station while access to the Williamsburg Bridge is only about five blocks away to the west.
