Renderings Reveal Cove, a 14-Acre Mixed-Use Development in Jersey City

Little by little, progress is being made for Cove, a massive mixed-use project in Jersey City. Argent Ventures, which owns 12.4 acres of the development land, has joined forces with H&R Real Estate Investment Trust, to redevelop the property adjacent to Liberty State Park. Preliminary plans by Argent Ventures called for a mixed-use waterfront development with 1.6 million square feet of laboratory and office space and 1,544 residential units. Future residents would have clear views of both downtown Jersey City and Manhattan.

LPC Reviews Updated Proposals for 250 Water Street High-Rise Tower and South Street Museum Expansion Project

Plans to construct a pair of high-rise towers at 250 Water Street in the South Street Seaport Historic District have been dramatically scaled down, as revealed in updated proposals from Howard Hughes Corporation and Skidmore, Owings & Merrill. Additional members of the project team include architects JHPA and historic preservation consultants Higgins Quasebarth & Partners.

Affordable Housing Building at 145 West 108th Street Nears Completion on Manhattan’s Upper West Side

Construction is nearing completion on 145 West 108th Street, an 11-story mixed-use building on Manhattan’s Upper West Side. Designed by Dattner Architects and developed by the West Side Federation for Senior and Supportive Housing, the nearly 200,000-square-foot project will yield 199 units for both low-income families and seniors, and an upcoming Valley Lodge facility serving 110 seniors. The property will also include 160,453 square feet of community facility space, a new home for the Central Park Medical Unit, and public restrooms for Anibal Aviles Playground directly adjacent to the east of the structure. A second phase to the east near the end of the block will bring an additional 81 senior living spaces.
