The building would contain a mix of affordable and market rate residences, a commercial component, and a non-profit community arts center that would provide arts-based programming to local residents.

A proposal has been revealed for the redevelopment of the St. Gregory the Great School, a four-floor Neo-Classical design by Helmle & Corbett from 1921. The notable historic features include the entrance portico and building piers at the upper story windows, with arch-headed blind lintels. The proposal is to almost double the building’s floor count and add residential units to the old school building in Crown Heights, Brooklyn, at 991 Saint Johns Place.

Permits have been filed for a seven-story residential complex at 959 Sterling Place in Crown Heights, Brooklyn. The site includes an existing historic building, occupied by the Hebron Seventh-Day Adventist Bilingual School, originally built as the Methodist Episcopal Home for the Aged in 1889. The Romanesque/Gothic revivalist structure is within the Crown Heights North Historic District landmark and will require approval from the LPC. Matthew Cordivari of the Triton Construction Company is listed as behind the applications.
