The structure will measure 6,452 square feet, which means its residential units should average 645 square feet apiece, indicative of rental apartments. There will be two to three per floor. A 10-story building that will offer housing for formerly homeless adults is taking shape at 316 East 162nd Street, in the Concourse Village section of the South Bronx.
A rendering has been revealed of the 11-story, 181-affordable-unit mixed-use building planned at 4511 Third Avenue, in the Belmont section of the Bronx. The 294,207-square-foot, thru-block development (consisting of seven- and 11-story components), will host 57,549 square feet of medical space on the ground and second floors and 10,127 square feet of ground-floor retail, as YIMBY reported in February. The rental apartments above, all of which will rent at below-market rates, should average 928 square feet apiece. Amenities include a 128-car garage, storage for 96 bikes, laundry facilities, and multiple outdoor terraces. The SBH Health System (St. Barnabas Hospital, located across the street) will utilize the medical space, as well as operate a 10,800-square-foot terrace geared towards exercise for the building’s tenants.

The structure will encompass 13,475 square feet. It will feature 2,229 square feet of commercial space and 2,191 square feet of community space across the cellar through second floors (likely for retail and medical offices), followed by seven residential units across the third through sixth floors. The units should average 807 square feet apiece, indicative of rental apartments. Ling Li’s Flushing-based architectural firm is the architect of record. The 25-foot-wide, 2,575-square-foot property is currently vacant. It’s located two blocks from the Castle Hill Avenue stop on the 6 train.
