Additional Permits Filed for Major Residential Project at 11-12 and 11-28 30th Drive in Astoria, Queens

Permits have been filed by developer Cape Advisors for two more nine-story residential buildings, at 11-12 30th Drive and 11-28 30th Drive, in Astoria, Queens. The site is between 30th Drive and 31st Street, and Vernon Boulevard and 12th Street. The project’s future address will be 30-77 Vernon Boulevard, and the pair of buildings will rise alongside an adjacent structure at 11-28 30th Drive. All are going up on the same lot, with their combined area taking up almost two-thirds of the entire parcel of land. A new nine-story residential building is coming to Astoria, Queens, at 11-37 31st Avenue, between Vernon Boulevard and 12th Street. It will stand 91 feet when complete, covering about 110,450 square feet and including 168 units. Christopher Fogarty of Fogarty Finger Architecture is designing, while the owner and developer is David Kronman of Astoria West LLC. The project will be a ground-up development and will replace an extant two-story structure on site.

Permits have been filed for a five-story residential building at 12-22 Astoria Boulevard in Astoria, Queens. The site is four blocks away from Hallets Cove Playground and an accompanying ferry terminal, serviced by the NYC Astoria line. Ten blocks away is the 30th Avenue subway station, serviced by the N and W trains. Brett Harris of AKI Development will be responsible for the project.
