606 West 30th Street’s Curtain Wall Nears Pinnacle in West Chelsea, Manhattan

Façade installation is nearing completion on 606 West 30th Street, a 42-story residential skyscraper along the border of Hudson Yards and West Chelsea, Manhattan. Designed by Ismael Leyva Architects and developed by Lalezarian Properties, the 545-foot-tall structure will yield 312,350 square feet with 192,780 square feet of residential space and 14,240 square feet of commercial space on the lower levels. The project is referred to as Tower B in a two-skyscraper development along with the taller 601 West 29th Street from FXCollaborative and Douglaston Development. Hudson 37 LLC is the general contractor for the property, which is located on an interior lot between Eleventh Avenue and West Street, directly across from the third phase of the High Line.

Exterior work is wrapping up on 3ELEVEN, a 60-story residential skyscraper at 601 West 29th Street along the border of West Chelsea and Hudson Yards. Designed by FXCollaborative and developed by Douglaston Development, the 695-foot-tall structure is also known as Tower A alongside the shorter 606 West 30th Street and will yield 935 units, with 235 designated for affordable housing, as well as 15,000 square feet of retail space on the podium floors. Levine Builders is the general contractor for the property, which is alternatively addressed as 311 Eleventh Avenue and bound by West 30th Street to the north, West 29th Street to the south, and Eleventh Avenue to the east. The building opened for occupancy last fall.

Terminal Warehouse Expansion Continues Construction at 261 Eleventh Avenue in West Chelsea, Manhattan

Construction is continuing on Terminal Warehouse, where a seven-story commercial addition is being erected above the historic 132-year-old building at 261 Eleventh Avenue in West Chelsea, Manhattan. Designed by COOKFOX Architects and developed by L&L Holding Company and Columbia Property Trust, the $1.25 billion project was approved by the Landmarks Preservation Commission in January 2020 and consists of an indoor-outdoor renovation that will yield a mix of Class A office suites, retail space, and multiple dining options on the ground floor. DeSimone Engineering is performing the structural engineering, and New Line Structures & Development is the general contractor for the property, which spans a full city block bound by West 28th Street to the north, West 27th Street to the south, Eleventh Avenue to the east, and West Street to the west.
