Sales have commenced and listings have launched for 40 Bleecker Street, in NoHo. Simply dubbed ’40 Bleecker’, the new building will bring 61 new residential units to the neighborhood, which rarely sees developments of this scale.
The first commercial tower to open in Hudson Yards, 10 Hudson Yards, is still making headlines, having now achieved LEED-Platinum certification from the U.S. Green Building Council. This surpasses original expectations of a LEED-Gold Certificate. Developers Related Companies and Oxford Properties Group announced that this is the first commercial building in New York City to receive the award since the LEED v2009 rating system was established.
It’s no longer just a rendering; the 54-story Eagle Electric Factory’s redevelopment at 43-22 Queens Street almost has its full façade, as construction nears the finish line. Now, the tower isn’t far off from releasing its 790 new rental apartments, which average 763 square feet apiece. Rockrose Development is responsible for development.
A new massing has been revealed for Related Companies’ 511-525 West 18th Street and 500 West 19th Street. The developer made headlines in 2014 with their move to purchase the site for $200 million, setting a record for the West Chelsea neighborhood, and moved forward with City Planning Approvals by the end of 2016.
