Construction on 555 Greenwich Street Nears Street Level in Hudson Square, Manhattan

Foundation work is progressing on 555 Greenwich Street, a 16-story office building in Hudson Square. Formerly addressed as 561 Greenwich Street, the structure will yield 270,000 square feet and will connect on nearly every floor with the adjacent 345 Hudson Street. The project is designed by COOKFOX Architects and developed by the joint venture Hudson Square Properties, which includes Trinity Church Wall Street, Norges Bank Investment Management, and Hines, and is planned to debut as one of the city’s most sustainable buildings.

‘Restorative Ground’ Public Pavilion and Installation Debuts in Hudson Square, Manhattan

Hudson Square is now home to ‘Restorative Ground,’ a temporary public art installation and pavilion designed by WIP Collaborative. The installation is located on King Street between Hudson and Greenwich Streets and arrives as part of the local community’s participation in New York City’s Open Streets Program.

561 Greenwich Street’s Excavation Rapidly Progressing in Hudsuon Square, Manhattan

Excavation is progressing at 561 Greenwich Street, the site of a 19-story, 260,000-square-foot commercial building in Hudson Square. Designed by COOKFOX Architects and developed by Hines and Trinity Church Wall Street, the project will yield 199,353 square feet of newly built office space. The site is located between King Street and Charlton Street.

SHoP Architects’ 26-Story Two Hudson Square Awaits Construction in Hudson Square, Manhattan

Construction preparations have yet to begin at Two Hudson Square, site of a 465-foot-tall mixed-use project in Hudson Square. Alternately addressed as 76 Varick Street, the vacant 32,699-square-foot property will give rise to a 26-story, 450,380-square-foot building designed by SHoP Architects and developed by a joint venture between Taconic Investment Partners and Nuveen, which acquired the land in a 99-year lease from Trinity Real Estate. The trapezoidal plot is bound by Canal Street to the south, Varick Street to the west, Grand Street to the north, and Sullivan Street and Duarte Square to the east.

LPC Approves Updated Signage at the Historic Trinity Church in Financial District, Manhattan

The Landmarks Preservation Commission (LPC) recently granted Trinity Church necessary approvals to modify signage on the grounds of both the historic church and cemetery grounds at 75 Broadway. This includes digital displays, flagpole signage, and bronze placards.

Excavation has commenced at 561 Greenwich Street, the site of a 19-story, 260,000-square-foot commercial building in Hudson Square. Designed by COOKFOX Architects, the project will add 199,353 square feet of office space to the rapidly changing neighborhood. Hines is serving as development manager and Trinity Church Wall Street is listed as the owner on permits filed last November. The site is bound by Greenwich Street Street to the west, King Street to the north, and Charlton Street to the south.

Trinity Commons on Track for 2021 Opening at 74 Trinity Place in the Financial District

Construction appears substantially complete on Trinity Commons, a 26-story mixed-use tower planned to open next year at 74 Trinity Place in the Financial District. Alternately addressed as 107 Greenwich Street, the 424-foot-tall building is designed by Pelli Clarke Pelli Architects and developed by Trinity Real Estate, with Stephen B. Jacobs Group as the executive architect.

Trinity Church, MBB Architects Propose to Replace the Church’s Historic Stained Glass at 75 Broadway in Financial District

LPC to Review Proposal for Revamped Pedestrian Space in Financial District

One of the first in a slew of proposals to revamp pedestrian areas surrounding the New York Stock Exchange has landed in front of the Landmarks Preservation Commission. This phase of work pertains to the construction of new concrete seating and planters near the Fearless Girl sculpture, Federal Hall, and along the intersection of Broad and Wall Street.
