30 Warren Street’s Dark Facade Begins to Show, in Tribeca

The dark-colored exterior of 30 Warren Street has been hidden beneath scaffolding and black netting for quite some time. Now, a large portion of the facade can be seen from the street and from above. The future 12-story condominium is being designed by Post-Office Architects (POA), while HTO Architects serves as the executive architect. Cape Advisors is the developer of the Tribeca property, which sits along Church Street, between Warren Street and Chambers Streets. Sales and marketing are being led by Corcoran Sunshine Marketing Group.

Unique Brick Façade and New Interior Shots Unveiled For 100 Franklin Street, in Tribeca

The uniquely detailed façade of 100 Franklin Street in the Tribeca East Historic District is beginning to be revealed. The residential project consists of conjoined triangular-shaped buildings on a narrow property, yielding ten full-floor residences. Half of the scaffolding and white sheathing that was covering the main eastern elevation has now been disassembled, exposing its detailed masonry craftsmanship. DDG is the architect of the project. The intricately detailed curtain wall uses hand-laid Petersen Tegl bricks. Douglas Elliman is in charge of handling sales.

Permits Filed for 321 Church Street in Tribeca, Manhattan

Permits have been filed for a seven-story mixed-use building at 321 Church Street in Tribeca, Manhattan. Located between Lispenard Street and Canal Street, the lot is one block from the Canal Street subway station on Broadway, serviced by the N, W, Q, and R trains. Peter Matera of Urban Standard Capital is listed as the owner behind the applications.

Anish Kapoor’s Long-Awaited Bean Sculpture at 56 Leonard Street Gets Outlined, in Tribeca

Currently the tallest skyscraper in Tribeca is 56 Leonard Street, designed by Herzog & de Meuron. Its cantilevered balconies have created a distinctive and new architectural icon for Lower Manhattan. With the building complete, residents get to enjoy uninterrupted views of the Financial District to the south and the Midtown skyline to the north. But while most eyes are looking up at the Jenga-esque structure, something just as exciting was recently spotted down at street level.

Glass Facade Installation Nears Completion for 108 Chambers Street, in Tribeca

Rising from a narrow, rectangular-shaped corner lot in Tribeca, the curtain wall for 108 Chambers Street is now revealing itself as work on the project continues to make quick progress. The building is being designed by Woods Bagot Architects, and developed by Greystone Development.

Renderings Revealed for Mixed-Use Development at 29-31 Leonard Street, in the Tribeca West Historic District

GE-T Architects have revealed proposals to renovate an existing, seven-story building at 29-31 Leonard Street, located within the Tribeca West Historic District. Silvera Properties reportedly purchased the property in 2018 for $24.5 million, and the submission will head to the City’s Landmarks Preservation Commission this week for review.

Gene Kaufman-Designed Skyscraper at 265 Broadway Appears Stalled in Lower Manhattan

A 510-foot-tall mixed-use tower designed by Gene Kaufman Architect was proposed for 265-267 Broadway a few years ago, and recently YIMBY checked in for an update on progress, or lack thereof. The Roe Corporation is the developer for the 144,244 square foot site, which is expected to rise a decent height above the surrounding Lower Manhattan skyline once complete. However, with no demolition yet evident, it appears this development may be as dead as a Thanksgiving turkey.

45 Park Place Nears Halfway Mark On Way To 667-Foot Pinnacle in Lower Manhattan

It has been several months since YIMBY last checked on 45 Park Place, a soon-to-be 45-story, 667-foot residential tower rising in the blocks just below Tribeca. Now, the building is nearing the halfway mark. It is already surpassing adjacent structures that have hidden ongoing progress since the project began to vertically take off this year. The site is being developed by Sharif el-Gamal’s Soho Properties, and will have a substantial presence on the changing skyline by the end of the decade.

New Rendering Revealed for DDG’s Super Slender “JR Building” at 100 Franklin in Tribeca

YIMBY has an exclusive new rendering for 100 Franklin in Tribeca, the latest venuture by developer DDG. Known as the JR Building and located between West Broadway and Sixth Avenue, the project is named after the street art installations by French graffiti artist JR that once stood on-site. Comprised of two triangular structures, the project will yield 10 spacious condominiums, with retail also situated on the ground floor.

Residential Addition Atop 131-135 Duane Street Heads to LPC in Tribeca

A proposal for a two-story addition atop 131-135 Duane Street is under review by the Landmarks Preservation Commission. The site is located between Church Street and West Broadway in Tribeca, with the design being carried out by Jonathan Schloss Architect, a local Tribeca firm.
