255 West 34th Street’s Superstructure Rises in Midtown, Manhattan

Construction is rising on 255 West 34th Street, a 33-story hotel tower in Midtown. Designed by Stonehill Taylor Architects and developed by The Chetrit Group, the 155,594-square-foot development will yield 330 hotel rooms directly across from One Penn Plaza, on the southern edge of the Garment District between Seventh and Eighth Avenues. Flintlock Construction Services, LLC is the general contractor for the project.

Construction is rising on the 18-story Moxy Hotel at 145 Bowery on Manhattan’s Lower East Side. Designed by Stonehill & Taylor Architects and developed by Lightstone Group, the 193-foot-tall structure will yield 127,000 square feet and 303 rooms, averaging 200 square feet apiece. The property, which is located at the corner of Broome Street and Bowery, will also feature a restaurant, a lobby bar, a cocktail bar, and a lounge.

Margaritaville Resort Nears Completion at 560 Seventh Avenue in Times Square, Manhattan

Façade installation is nearing completion on the Margaritaville Resort New York at 560 Seventh Avenue in Times Square. Designed by Stonehill Taylor and developed by Sharif El-Gamal of Soho Properties along with MHP Real Estate Services, the 29-story, 375-foot-tall tower will yield 234 guest rooms with island-inspired interior designs. The project, which is located at the corner of Seventh Avenue and West 40th Street, is expected to cost around $300 million.
