RAMSA’s 1230 Madison Avenue Nears Topping Out, on the Upper East Side

Construction is getting close to topping out on 1230 Madison Avenue, a Robert A.M. Stern Architects-designed residential building on Manhattan’s Upper East Side. The reinforced concrete superstructure has risen quickly since YIMBY’s early February update and will soon reach its 208-foot pinnacle. Developed by Real Estate Equities Corporation with SLCE Architects as the architect of record, the 20-story project is located in the neighborhood of Carnegie Hill on the same parcel as the Solomon R. Guggenheim Museum.

Beckford House and Tower Near Completion on the Upper East Side

Construction is nearing the finish line on Beckford House and Beckford Tower, a pair of residential buildings in the Yorkville section of Manhattan’s Upper East Side. Crews are almost completely done installing the fenestration of Brynne Brownstone and Indiana Limestone on both the 19-story, 215-foot-tall Beckford House, located at 301 East 81st Street and also addressed as 1562 Second Avenue, and the 29-story Beckford Tower at 301 East 80th Street. The project is designed by Studio Sofield and SLCE Architects and developed by Icon Realty Management, with CM & Associates in charge of construction management.

Demolition Wraps for RAMSA’s 42-Story Tower at 3041 Broadway in Morningside Heights

Demolition appears complete at 3041 Broadway in Morningside Heights, the site of a forthcoming 42-story tower from Robert A. M. Stern Architects. Alternately addressed as 100 Claremont Avenue, the 350,000-square-foot project is being developed by L&M Development Partners and Lendlease with SLCE Architects as the architect of record, and will yield condominiums marketed by Lendlease and L+M, as well as institutional offices, faculty housing, and classrooms for the Union Theological Seminary. Beyer Blinder Belle is handling the ongoing renovation of Union Theological Seminary’s Hastings Hall, where students reside.The partial demolition process began last October and uses purchased air rights from the seminary.

The 385-foot-tall structure is designed by INC Architecture & Design and developed by Savanna, with SLCE Architects as the executive architect and Michael Van Valkenburgh Associates, Inc. as the landscape architect. Halstead Development Marketing is handling sales for the 183 condominiums.
