The affordable housing lottery has launched for Simba Simbi Seniors, an eight-story mixed-use building at 381 Chester Street in Brownsville, Brooklyn. Designed by SLCE Architects and developed by Dunn Development Corp., the structure yields 157 residences. Available on NYC Housing Connect are 108 units for residents at 50 percent of the area median income (AMI), ranging in eligible income from $0 to $60,050.

270 West 96th Street’s Brick Façade Takes Shape on Manhattan’s Upper West Side

Façade installation is progressing on 270 West 96th Street, a 23-story residential building on Manhattan’s Upper West Side. Designed by SLCE Architects and developed by Fetner Properties, the 235-foot-tall structure will yield 171 rental units with 68 dedicated to affordable housing, and 8,961 square feet of community facility space. Urban Atelier Group is the general contractor for the property, which is located between West End Avenue and Broadway.

50 West 66th Street Climbs Past Podium Levels on Manhattan’s Upper West Side

Construction is progressing on 50 West 66th Street, a 69-story residential skyscraper and the future tallest building on Manhattan’s Upper West Side. Designed by Snøhetta with SLCE Architects as the executive architect and developed by Extell and Tennor Holding, the 775-foot-tall structure will yield 127 condominium units. Lendlease is the general contractor for the project, which is located on an interior lot between Columbus Avenue and Central Park West with frontage on both West 65th and West 66th Streets.

Partial Commercial-to-Residential Conversion Revealed for McGraw-Hill Building in Midtown, Manhattan

Resolution Real Estate has revealed plans for a partial residential conversion of the McGraw-Hill Building, a 33-story landmarked tower at 330 West 42nd Street in Midtown, Manhattan. The announcement comes on the heels of the firm’s recent completion of a major renovation of the building’s commercial spaces. MdeAS Architects is leading the office and residential conversions, with SLCE Architects designing all apartment layouts.

Construction crews have nearly completed façade installation on 98-08 Queens Boulevard, a forthcoming mixed-use tower in Rego Park, Queens. Designed by SLCE Architects and developed by RB Realty Capital, the 344,000-square-foot building will contain 186 rental apartments, residential amenity spaces, 53,000 square feet of retail, a 41,000-square-foot community facility, and an 82,000-square-foot parking garage.

249 East 62nd Street’s Terracotta Façade Underway on Manhattan’s Upper East Side

Façade work is progressing on 249 East 62nd Street, a 28-story residential building on Manhattan’s Upper East Side. Designed by INC Architecture & Design with SLCE Architects as the executive architect and developed by Zeckendorf Development, the 347-foot-tall structure will yield 66 condominium units with sales led by Brown Harris Stevens Development Marketing. CM & Associates is the general contractor for the property, which rises from an L-shaped plot by the corner of Second Avenue and East 62nd Street.

Foundations Underway at 300 East 83rd Street on Manhattan’s Upper East Side

Foundation work is progressing at 300 East 83rd Street, the site of a 22-story residential building in the Yorkville section of the Upper East Side. Designed by SLCE Architects and developed by Lalezarian Group, the 235-foot-tall structure will span 84,266 square feet and yield 70 units, as well as cellar and ground-floor retail space. The homes will average 1,203 square feet, likely indicating condominiums. Hudson 37 LLC is the general contractor for the property, which is located at the corner of East 83rd Street and Second Avenue.

Three-Tower Development at 2-20 and 2-21 Malt Drive Rises Above Hunters Point, Queens

Construction is rising on 2-20 and 2-21 Malt Drive, a three-tower development in the Hunters Point South master plan in Hunters Point, Queens. Designed by SLCE Architects and developed by TF Cornerstone, the project consists of a 34-story, 390-foot-tall structure that will yield 575 units at 2-20 Malt Drive and a two-tower design at 2-21 Malt Dive composed of a 38-story, 440-foot-tall high-rise and a 25-story, 310-foot-tall building. A final unit count for 2-21 Malt Drive has yet to be announced. Bud North LLC and Bud South LLC are the general contractors for 2-21 and 2-20 Malt Drive, respectively, which will rise from a subdivided plot bound by 54th Avenue to the north, Newton Creek to the south, and 2nd Street to the west.

250 East 83rd Street Begins Ascent on the Upper East Side of Manhattan

Construction is rising on 250 East 83rd Street, a 31-story residential tower in the Yorkville section of Manhattan’s Upper East Side. Designed by SLCE Architects and developed by The Torkian Group, the 370-foot-tall structure will yield 128 residential units with interiors by Lemay+Escobar, as well as ground-floor retail space. Cauldwell Wingate Company is the general contractor for the property, which is located at the corner of Second Avenue and East 83rd Street.

Designed by SLCE Architects and developed by M&H Realty, the 439-foot-tall structure will yield 500 rental units. The property is located at the intersection of West and Oak Streets along the East River.
