Earlier this week, Fisher Brothers and Rockwell Group announced the completion of a major renovation project at 299 Park Avenue in Midtown East, Manhattan. The $20 million project included the installation of the 60-foot-long Living Canvas, a digital LED display that changes throughout the day and gradually over time.
Façade work is nearing completion at 305 West 48th Street, a 303-foot-tall hotel in Hell’s Kitchen. Designed by Gene Kaufman and developed by Bright Management with Rockwell Group as the interior designer, the structure stands 27 stories and will contain 211 hotel rooms. The project site is located at the corner of West 48th Street and Eighth Avenue, conveniently close to the Times Square and the Theater District.
Edge observation deck, the most anticipated public-facing component of the Hudson Yards megaproject, is finally open. Perched 1,131 feet above Tenth Avenue on the 100th floor of Kohn Pedersen Fox’s 30 Hudson Yards, Edge galvanizes the new mixed-use neighborhood with an attraction unlike any other in New York.
Exterior work is making steady progress on the topped-out Gene Kaufman-designed hotel at 305 West 48th Street in Hell’s Kitchen. Located between Eighth and Ninth Avenues, the 303-foot-tall, 27-story tower will contain 211 hotel rooms to help sate the booming demand for lodging in the tourism-heavy Times Square area. Bright Management is listed as the developer and Rockwell Group is in charge of designing the building’s interiors and amenity spaces.
The plaza at the base of 111 Murray Street is getting close to completion in Tribeca. The 10,000-square-foot public park sits to the east of the main entrance of the 792-foot-tall residential skyscraper, which was completed in 2018. The 64-story glass tower is designed by Kohn Pedersen Fox and Hill West Architects. Witkoff Group and Fisher Brothers are the two developes. Plaza Construction is the main contractor and DeSimone is the structural engineer, and marketing and sales for the residential units are being handled by Douglas Elliman.
