Façade Work Begins on 200 East 83rd Street’s Rising Superstructure on Manhattan’s Upper East Side

Construction is rising on 200 East 83rd Street, a 449-foot-tall residential tower from Robert A.M. Stern on Manhattan’s Upper East Side. Developed by Naftali Group and Rockefeller Group, the 243,128-square-foot development reinforced concrete structure will rise to a height of 35 stories and house 86 units spread over 205,877 square feet, for an average of 2,393 square feet apiece. SLCE Architects is the architect of record for the project, which is located at the corner of Third Avenue and East 83rd Street.

RAMSA’s 3041 Broadway Begins to Rise Above Street Level in Morningside Heights, Manhattan

Construction has reached street level at 3041 Broadway, a 42-story tower designed by Robert A. M. Stern Architects in Morningside Heights. Alternately addressed as 100 Claremont Avenue, the 350,000-square-foot project is being developed by L&M Development Partners and Lendlease with SLCE Architects as the architect of record, and will eventually yield condominiums marketed by Lendlease and L+M, and institutional offices, faculty housing, and classrooms for the Union Theological SeminaryBeyer Blinder Belle is handling the renovations of Union Theological Seminary’s Hastings Hall, where students reside. The building is rising by the corner of Claremont Avenue and West 122nd Street with the use of air rights from the seminary, and is directly across from the Riverside Church.

Exterior work is continuing to shape up on The Cortland, a 26-story condominium building at 555 West 22nd Street in West Chelsea. Designed by Robert A. M. Stern Architects and developed by Related Companies with SLCE Architects as the architect of record, the nearly 300-foot-tall, 250,000-square-foot project will yield 141 units, averaging around 2,245 square feet apiece. The building is located along West Street and the Hudson River waterfront between West 22nd and West 23rd Streets.
