Robert A. M. Stern Architects’ 1165 Madison Avenue, aka The Bellemont, Begins Ascent on Manhattan’s Upper East Side

Construction is rising on 1165 Madison Avenue, a 13-story residential building on Manhattan’s Upper East Side. Robert A. M. Stern Architects is the design architect, SLCE Architects as the architect or record, and Naftali Group is the developer of the 67,680-square-foot structure, now known as The Bellemont, will stand 210 feet tall and yield 12 condominiums spread across 58,919 square feet, as well as 3,749 square feet of retail space. Titanium Construction Services is the general contractor for the project, which is located at the corner of Madison Avenue and East 86th Street.

New Renderings Released for RAMSA’s Claremont Hall at 100 Claremont Avenue in Morningside Heights, Manhattan

YIMBY has an exclusive new set of exterior renderings for Claremont Hall, a topped-out 41-story residential and academic tower at 100 Claremont Avenue in Morningside Heights. Designed by Robert A. M. Stern Architects with SLCE Architects as the architect of record and developed by L&M Development Partners, Daiwa House Texas, Inc., and Lendlease, the 354,000-square-foot structure will yield 165 condominiums as well as institutional offices, faculty housing, and classrooms for Union Theological Seminary. Beyer Blinder Belle is handling the renovations of Union Theological Seminary’s Hastings Hall, where students currently reside. Claremont Hall is situated by the corner of Claremont Avenue and West 122nd Street, directly across from Riverside Church, and the tower is being built by Lendlease Construction with the use of air rights from the seminary.

Façade work is nearing completion on The Cortland, a 26-story condominium building designed by Robert A. M. Stern Architects at 555 West 22nd Street in West Chelsea. Developed by Related Companies with SLCE Architects as the architect of record, the nearly 300-foot-tall reinforced concrete structure will yield 141 residential units spread over 250,000 square feet, for an average of 2,245 square feet. The building rises along West Street and the Hudson River waterfront between West 22nd and West 23rd Streets.

RAMSA’s 3041 Broadway Soars Past Halfway Mark in Morningside Heights, Manhattan

Construction has quickly risen past the halfway mark on 3041 Broadway, a 42-story mixed-use tower designed by Robert A. M. Stern Architects in Morningside Heights. Alternately addressed as 100 Claremont Avenue, the project is being developed by L&M Development Partners and Lendlease with SLCE Architects as the architect of record, and will yield 350,000 square feet with condominiums as well as institutional offices, faculty housing, and classrooms for the Union Theological Seminary. Demo Permits Make Way for RAMSA-Designed Tower at 14 Fifth Avenue in Greenwich Village, Manhattan

Demo permits have been filed for 14 Fifth Avenue in Manhattan’s Greenwich Village, the site of a planned 19-story residential tower designed by Robert A.M. Stern Architects and Hill West. Located between East 8th Street and East 9th Street with 52 feet of frontage along Fifth Avenue, the property is currently occupied by a four-story residential building with 20 units. Madison Realty Capital is listed as the owner behind the application, after purchasing the 5,255-square-foot site for $27.5 million in 2015.

Exterior work is closing in on completion at 1228 Madison Avenue, a 20-story residential building on Manhattan’s Upper East Side. Designed by Robert A.M. Stern Architects and developed by CBSK Ironstate, a partnership of CB Developers, SK Development, and Ironstate, the property will yield 15 units with interiors by Kelly Behun Studio. The site is located along Madison Avenue between East 88th and 89th Streets, directly behind Frank Lloyd Wright’s Guggenheim Museum.

Construction has topped out on 200 East 83rd Street, a 449-foot-tall residential tower designed by Robert A.M. Stern on Manhattan’s Upper East Side. Developed by Naftali Group and Rockefeller Group, the 243,128-square-foot structure rises 35 stories and will yield 86 units spread over 205,877 square feet, for an average scope of 2,393 square feet. SLCE Architects is the architect of record for the project, which is located at the corner of Third Avenue and East 83rd Street.
