Stern Architects while SLCE Architects is the architect of record. Related is the developer, and new renderings show a substantial update to the design since images were first revealed in early 2018.

Among New York City’s current skyscrapers under construction, none comes closer to supertall status without actually reaching it than 220 Central Park South, which stands 950 feet to its rooftop. Midtown Manhattan’s New Supertalls As Seen From 252 East 57th Street’s Penthouse

Earlier last week, YIMBY got the opportunity to see the mountainous Midtown neighborhood, the rising towers in Queens, and the Upper East Side from the penthouse of 252 East 57th Street. The full-floor apartment had two terraces on the Northwest and Southeast edges of the building, from which we were given an eye-to-eye look at several high-rises on the rise.

Permits Filed for Robert A.M. Stern Architects-Designed 845 Howard Avenue in Brownsville, Brooklyn

Our last reporting on 845 Howard Avenue was after the NYC Department of City Planning gave approval to the Robert A.M. Stern Architects’ design in October. Now, permits have been filed for the site, which also goes by 3 Livonia Avenue, in Brownsville, Brooklyn. The project will be named Edwin’s Place, and will be the fifth project in Brooklyn by the non-profit partnership of Breaking Ground and The African American Planning Commission Inc.
