Permits have been filed for an eight-story mixed-use building at 43-46 39th Place, in Sunnyside, Queens. The site is a block from the 40th Street-Lowery Street Station, serviced by the 7 train. The lot is right on the corner of Queens Boulevard, which is populated with retail and restaurant storefronts for several blocks, and YIMBY now has the reveal for the design, by Raymond Chan Architects.

Most of the hotels coming to Chelsea are on the larger side of things, but today, YIMBY has the reveal for a smaller project that is in the works for 20 West 15th Street, between Fifth and Sixth avenues on the southern edge of the neighborhood. YIMBY first reported on the site when applications were filed back in August of 2014, when we asked when the hotel madness overtaking the area would stop (three years later, it rages unchecked).
YIMBY previously reported on 46-20 11th Street in Long Island City back in January, when new building applications were filed for the site with the DOB. Now, the reveal is out, thanks to The Court Square Blog, which spotted the on-site renderings yesterday. The project will rise seven floors and total 40,035 square feet of residential space, to be divided amongst 42 units, with a design by Raymond Chan Architects. 11th Street Condominiums LLC is developing, and the site’s former two-story warehouse has now been demolished, with completion is anticipated by the spring of 2019.
Building applications have been filed for a vacant property at 3456 Conner Street, in The Bronx’s Eastchester neighborhood. The new structure will stand five stories tall, and will contain 127 hotel rooms spanning 52,305 square feet of commercial space. Raymond Chan Architects is designing the project, and Skyview Capital is listed as the developer.
Flushing has been booming with new developments, as demand for more space in New York City’s largest Chinatown has continued to increase. Today, YIMBY has the first renderings of another project coming to the neighborhood, at 135-01 35th Avenue, where Stenmax Realty Inc. is planning an eight-story mixed-use building.
