Façade work is getting closer to completion on the Ritz Carlton Hotel at 1185 Broadway, a 580-foot-tall skyscraper in NoMad and number 27 on our countdown of the tallest buildings under construction in the city. Designed by Rafael Vinoly and developed by MarriottRitz Carlton Hotels, and Flag Luxury Properties, the 40-story tower will yield 150,000 square feet and 250 guest rooms. The project is located at the intersection of Broadway and West 28th Street.

125 Greenwich Street Remains Stalled in Financial District

YIMBY’s Turkey Week update of stalled projects turns next to 125 Greenwich Street, a 912-foot-tall residential skyscraper that has been sitting quiet in the Financial District for most of 2020. Designed by Rafael Vinoly and developed by Bizzi & Partners and Vector Group, the 88-story structure will yield 273 residential units with interior design by March & White and sales and marketing handled by Douglas Elliman. Plaza Construction is the general contractor for the project.

Exterior work is progressing on the topped-out Ritz Carlton Hotel at 1185 Broadway in NoMad as the curtain wall approaches the building’s 580-foot-tall pinnacle. Designed by Rafael Vinoly and developed by MarriottRitz Carlton Hotels, and Flag Luxury Properties, the 40-story skyscraper will yield 150,000 square feet and 250 guest rooms, which will sit above a multi-story podium rising from the corner of Broadway and West 28th Street.

Rafael Viñoly Architects Proposes Renovation of National Academy Museum’s Former Upper East Side Headquarters

International gallerist Salon 94 has partnered with Rafael Viñoly Architects to convert and expand the National Academy Museum’s former Upper East Side headquarters into a new gallery, research center, and residence. Located at 3 East 89th Street in Carnegie Hill, any alterations to the landmarked building require explicit approvals from the Landmarks Preservation Commission.
