YIMBY can barely keep up with all the new development happening in Flushing and its nearby suburbs, which are quickly expanding with new East and South Asian immigrants. Yesterday, we spotted plans for a six-story, mixed-use building at 35-20 146th Street, in Murray Hill, just east of Flushing.

Pik Wan Cheng, operating under an anonymous LLC, has filed applications for a five-story, 22-unit mixed-use building at 144-89 38th Avenue, in Murray Hill, four blocks from the LIRR station at 41st Avenue and 149th Street. The building will measure 20,384 square feet, and includes 5,550 square feet on the basement level for a children’s daycare. Residential units, averaging a rental-sized 675 square feet, will take up the first through fifth floors. Flushing-based Chang Hwa Tan is the architect of record, and permits were filed in July to remove a dilapidated two-story structure.
Pik Wan Cheng, doing business as Flushing-based Realty 188 LLC, has filed applications for twin two-story residential buildings spanning the lots of 206-07 – 207-09 48th Avenue, in southern Bayside. The development will total four residential units — two in each building — and units will each average 1,137 square feet each. Flushing-based Chang Hwa Tan is the architect of record, and permits were filed in July to demolish an existing 2.5-story structure.
