18 Sixth Avenue Surpasses Barclays Center’s Roof in Prospect Heights, Brooklyn

18 Sixth Avenue is approaching the halfway mark on the way up to its 49-story parapet in Prospect Heights, Brooklyn. Designed by Perkins Eastman and developed in a joint venture between The Brodsky Organization and Greenland Forest City Partners, the nearly 500-foot-tall structure will contain 858 rental units, of which 258 will be dedicated to affordable housing. The development will yield 740,000 square feet and stand as the tallest building in the massive 22-acre Pacific Park master plan.

Construction Wraps on Hudson Exchange West’s Second Tower, in Jersey City

Construction is complete on VYV South, a 432-unit residential building at 444 Warren Street in Jersey City. Designed by Perkins Eastman and developed by Brookfield Properties and G&S Investors, the structure is the second building to rise in the 18-acre Hudson Exchange West development following the completion of its sibling VYV at 474 Warren Street. Both edifices feature a curtain wall of dark gray brick and glass panels, and culminate in relatively flat parapets. The entire development will consist of 12 new towers with 5,400 units and 350,000 square feet of amenity, retail, and dining spaces.

Perkins Eastman’s 99 Hudson Street Nears Completion in Jersey City

Work on 99 Hudson Street in Jersey City is nearly complete as finishing touches proceed on the ground floor and interiors. Designed by Perkins Eastman and developed by COA 99 Hudson, LLC, the 79-story, 900-foot-tall residential skyscraper is the tallest building in New Jersey. Plaza Construction is in charge of construction with Vidaris overseeing the installation of the exterior envelope. 99 Hudson Street rises from a full-block parcel bound by Hudson Street to the east, Grand Street to the south, Greene Street to the west, and York Street to the north.
