Permits have been filed for a 22-story commercial office building at 1241 Broadway in Midtown, Manhattan. The architect of the project will be Skidmore Owings & Merrill, who arguably have had the largest impact on New York City’s built environment compared to any other firm. Reveal for 60 Charlton Street’s Vertical Office Addition as Permits Approved, Hudson Square

Permits have been approved for the enlargement of 60 Charlton Street, which will yield a 12-story retail and office building in the Hudson Square neighborhood of Manhattan. The building was formerly known as 163 Varick Street. Kenneth Aschendorf of APF Properties is responsible for the development, after purchasing the lot for $65 million in July 2017.

Renderings Reveal Lobby Redesign for 155 East 44th Street aka 10 Grand Central, Midtown East

Renderings are out for a new look coming to 155 East 44th Street. The office building’s entrance and lobby will be redesigned to resemble a welcoming environment, along with the lounge, terrace, and modernized pre-war offices. The 35-story office building, designed by Ely Jacque Kahn, will be renamed 10 Grand Central, in recognition of being located within Midtown’s Grand Central Submarket area.
