Five-Story, 75,400-Square-Foot School Redevelopment Filed At 15-20 Central Avenue, Far Rockaway

An anonymous Bronx-based LLC has filed applications to redevelop the severely dilapidated three-story commercial structure at 15-20 Central Avenue, in Far Rockaway, into a five-story school building. The redevelopment will incorporate the stand-alone four-story structure that exists behind the three-story building. The project will encompass 75,440 square feet and will rise 62 feet above street level. The school, which will likely be private, will have a gymnasium, cafeteria, administrative offices, classrooms, and conference rooms. William Leung’s Financial District-based architecture firm is the architect of record.
