606 West 30th Street Passes Halfway Mark in Hudson Yards, Manhattan

Construction has passed the halfway mark on 606 West 30th Street, a 42-story residential skyscraper in Hudson Yards. Designed by Ismael Leyva Architects and developed by Lalezarian Properties, the 545-foot-tall structure will yield 312,350 square feet, with 192,780 square feet of residential space and 14,240 square feet of commercial space. Hudson 37 LLC is the general contractor for the property, which is also known as Tower B in a two-skyscraper development alongside FXCollaborative and Douglaston Development‘s topped-out 601 West 29th Street. 606 West 30th Street is located between Eleventh Avenue and West Street, near the border with West Chelsea.

YIMBY Scopes Views From Flatiron House at 39 West 23rd Street in Flatiron District, Manhattan

YIMBY went on a tour of Flatiron House, a two-tower residential development at 39 West 23rd Street in the Flatiron District. Designed by COOKFOX Architects for NYC-based real estate development firm Anbau Enterprises, the structure will yield 44 condominium units with sales and marketing led by Corcoran Sunshine Marketing Group. The taller portion of Flatiron House is called the Tower and features 37 one- to four-bedroom homes with an entrance on West 23rd Street, while the shorter annex is dubbed the Loft and comes with seven one- to five-bedroom residences and its own entrance to the north on 24th Street. Ryder Construction is the general contractor for the property, which is located between Fifth and Sixth Avenues.

RAMSA’s The Cortland Nears Completion at 555 West 22nd Street in West Chelsea, Manhattan

Work is wrapping up on The Cortland, a 25-story residential tower at 555 West 22nd Street in West Chelsea. Designed by Robert A.M. Stern Architects and developed by Related Companies, the 300-foot-tall structure will yield 144 condominium units in two- to five-bedroom layouts with interiors by Olson Kundig, as well as a series of penthouses. Related Sales and CORE Group are the exclusive co-sales and marketing agents for the property, which is located at the confluence of Eleventh Avenue and West Street, between West 22nd and West 23rd Streets.

Permits Filed for 2289-2291 Third Avenue in Harlem, Manhattan

Permits have been filed for a five-story mixed-use building at 2289-2291 Third Avenue in Harlem, Manhattan. The site is currently occupied by a four-story building and a two-story building, both which will be demolished above the first floor for the new development. Located between East 124th and 125th Streets, the lot is one block east of the 125th Street subway station, serviced by the 4, 5, and 6 trains. Tower Management Group is listed as the owner behind the applications.

Demolition Ramps Up for PENN15 Supertall at 15 Penn Plaza in Midtown, Manhattan

Demolition work is ramping up for PENN 15, a 56-story, 1,200-foot commercial supertall at 15 Penn Plaza in Midtown, Manhattan. Designed by Foster + Partners and developed by Vornado Realty Trust, the 2.7 million-square-foot tower will replace the aging Hotel Pennsylvania and stand as the tallest component in the 7.4 million-square-foot Penn District master plan. 401 Hotel Reit is the owner and Northstar Contracting Group is the demolition contractor for the property, which is bound by Seventh Avenue to the west, West 32nd Street to the south, and West 33rd Street to the north.

Foundations Near Completion at 312 West 43rd Street in Midtown, Manhattan

Foundation work is almost complete at 312 West 43rd Street, the site of a two-building residential development in Midtown, Manhattan. Designed by Handel Architects and developed by Taconic Partners under the 311 West 42nd Street Associates LLC, the 373,133-square-foot project comprises a 33-story tower and seven-story extension with a shared podium. The complex will yield 321 apartments averaging 839 square feet apiece as well as 25,202 square feet of retail space on the lower floors. Triton Construction is serving as the general contractor for the property, which is located between West 42nd and 43rd Streets and Eighth and Ninth Avenues, directly north of the Port Authority Bus Terminal.

New Renderings Revealed for 96+Broadway, at 250 West 96th Street on Manhattan’s Upper West Side

New renderings have been revealed for 96+Broadway, a 23-story residential building at 2551-2555 Broadway on Manhattan’s Upper West Side. Designed by Thomas Juul-Hansen with Stephen B. Jacobs Group as the architect of record and developed by New York-based private real estate investment and development firm JVP Management, the 276,578-square-foot structure will yield 131 units in one- to five-bedroom layouts and 9,080 square feet of ground-floor retail space. Leeding Builders Group is the general contractor for the property, which is located at the corner of Broadway and West 96th Street.

231 East 51st Street Nears Completion in Turtle Bay, Manhattan

Exterior work is nearing completion on 231 East 51st Street, a five-story commercial office building in the Midtown East neighborhood of Turtle Bay. The 3,682-square-foot lot was once home to a prewar five-story structure that served as the Consulate of the Republic of Singapore. The property was sold to Texas-based travel firm Frosch in December 2017 for $22.05 million. Clune Construction is the general contractor for the project, which is located between Second and Third Avenues.

The Edison Gramercy’s Façade Takes Shape at 250 East 21st Street in Gramercy, Manhattan

Designed by Isaac & Stern Architects and developed by Urban Development Partners and SD Second Avenue Property, the structure will yield 54 boutique homes that range from one to four-bedroom layouts and start at approximately $1,200,000 to over $6 million. Interiors are being designed by Paris Forino and sales and marketing are led by Douglas Elliman Development Marketing‘s Eklund Gomes Team. Ross Associates is the general contractor for the property, which is located at the corner of East 21st Street and Second Avenue.

249 East 50th Street Completes Construction in Turtle Bay, Manhattan
