According to the filing, the three adjacent lots are owned by Straus Group under the Clinton Eight Realty LLC. Located on the corner of West 8th Street and MacDougal Street, the property currently houses two one-story commercial buildings with with a total lot area of 4,775 square feet. Built in 1937, the structures offer a collective frontage of 104 feet along the intersection.

53 Pearl Street’s Approved Plans Await Construction In DUMBO, Brooklyn

BKSK Architects‘ approved plans that were last submitted to the Landmarks Preservation Commission (LPC), which call for a renovation and expansion of 53 Pearl Street in DUMBO, Brooklyn, await construction. The team revealed its latest design for the 140-year-old Italianate-style structure a year ago after initial plans from March 2019 that called for a tall multi-story addition at the rear of the property, were denied for being both “out of scale” and “contextually inappropriate.” The building was once a factory for the Masury Paint Company and was transformed into rental apartments several years ago.

Explosion-Replacing 45 East 7th Street Unveiled in East Village

Work is nearing completion on 45 East 7th Street, a seven-story residential building from Morris Adjmi Architects in the East Village. Developed by Immobiliare Capital, Premier Equities, and Nexus Building Development Group, the project required approvals and insight from the Landmarks Preservation Commission before work proceeded on the property, which sold for $9.15 million in 2017. The edifice will contain 21 condominiums marketed by The Tavivian Team from Douglas Elliman and range from one-, two-, and three-bedroom layouts. There will also be ground-floor retail.
