The curtain wall assembly is progressing swiftly at 615 Tenth Avenue, AKA Hudson Garden, a new residential development in Hell’s Kitchen. The last of the large prefabricated panels are being hoisted into place on the topped-out, seven-story superstructure, which spans a full block between West 44th Street and West 45th Street. The 92-unit property is being designed by Marvel Architects and developed by Xin Development International, with Kuafu Properties as the project manager and Leeding Builders Group overseeing construction.
Work has resumed on 540 Fulton Street, a 511-foot-tall, 42-story, mixed-use skyscraper in Downtown Brooklyn. Construction had been suspended since February, when stop work orders were issued due to alleged safety concerns at the site. The mixed-use residential project is being designed by Marvel Architects and developed by Jenel Management. The reinforced concrete tower will yield about 330,000 square feet, with nearly 96,600 square feet to be allocated to commercial space on the lower floors. The remainder will be reserved for residences and measure about 236,900 square feet.
One Clinton Street aka 280 Cadman Plaza West recently topped out at 36 stories over Brooklyn Heights. The mixed-use residential building is being designed by Marvel Architects and developed by Hudson Companies. The 295,000-square-foot project will include 134 residential units and One Clinton Street Library, a new public library that is replacing the former Brooklyn Heights Library. The tower is situated on a triangular-shaped plot at the confluence of Clinton Street, Tillary Street, and Cadman Plaza West. At 409 feet, it is currently the tallest structure in the neighborhood.
Three piling machines and two excavators have been set up at 37 Sixth Avenue in Prospect Heights, Brooklyn. The upcoming 343,788-square-foot, mixed-use building will rise 26 stories and bring 323 rental units to the neighborhood. The property sits at the corner of Dean Street and Sixth Avenue and is directly to the east of Barclays Center. Marvel Architects is the designer and the Brodsky Organization is the developer. An updated rendering was also posted on the construction fence. The project is alternately addressed 495 Dean Street and 664 Pacific Street.
In a recent announcement, New York City’s Department of Housing Preservation and Development (HPD) and the Housing Development Corporation (HDC) revealed a multi-phase affordable housing development in Brooklyn. Known as Broadway Triangle, the wedge-shaped plot of land sits at the intersection of Williamsburg, Bushwick, and Bedford-Stuyvesant and will eventually give rise to a five-building housing complex for low-income households and the formerly homeless.
