The Landmarks Preservation Commission is set to review a renovation proposal for 675 Hudson Street, a five-story mixed-use building in the Meatpacking District of Manhattan. Designed by Mancini Duffy Architecture, the proposal outlines a number of aesthetic and structural modifications to the vernacular/Neo-Grec style building, which was originally constructed in 1849 and subsequently enlarged between 1854-1860.

DoorDash Expands New York Presence with Lease at 200 Fifth Avenue In Flatiron, Manhattan

In a major expansion of its New York operations, DoorDash has inked a lease for more than 115,000 square feet at 200 Fifth Avenue, a 13-story commercial building in Flatiron, Manhattan. The deal is an expansion of the 57,691 square feet that it currently occupies in the structure, which is located at the intersection of Fifth Avenue, Broadway, and 23rd Street along Madison Square Park.

The Landmarks Preservation Commission (LPC) is set to review plans for the reconstruction of the West 85th Street Playground, located within Central Park on Manhattan’s Upper West Side. Led by the Central Park Conservancy, the project aims to modernize the play area formerly known as the Spector Playground, while making it more accessible and inclusive for various mobility needs.

New Façade Proposed for 1030 Amsterdam Avenue in Morningside Heights, Manhattan

A new façade has been proposed for The Hungarian Pastry Shop, a long-standing bakery located at 1030 Amsterdam Avenue in Morningside Heights, Manhattan. The proposal was submitted for review at the Landmarks Preservation Commission‘s public hearing that took place on December 19.

East Midtown Greenway Opens along East River Waterfront in Midtown, Manhattan

Sustainable design and engineering firm Stantec recently celebrated the grand opening of the East Midtown Greenway in Midtown East, Manhattan. Constructed by Skanska, the esplanade is the second of three sections of the East Midtown Waterfront Project and adds nearly 2,000 linear feet of bikeways and walking paths to the East River waterfront.

The affordable housing lottery has launched for 266 West 96th Street, a 23-story residential building on Manhattan’s Upper West Side. Designed by SLCE Architects and developed by Fetner Properties, the structure yields 171 residences. Available on NYC Housing Connect are 52 units for residents at 70 to 130 percent of the area median income (AMI), ranging in eligible income from $40,526 to $198,250.

Naftali Group Secures $236 Million Loan For 255 East 77th Street on Manhattan’s Upper East Side

Naftali Group has secured a $236 million construction loan for 255 East 77th Street, a 36-story residential skyscraper on Manhattan’s Upper East Side. Provided by J.P. Morgan and Starwood Capital, the loan will will help complete the 500-foot-tall structure, which is currently in the excavation phase.

Renderings Revealed For 160 Water Street Conversion In The Seaport Neighborhood of Manhattan

New renderings have been revealed for Pearl House, an office-to-residential conversion project by the Vanbarton Group at 160 Water Street in the Seaport neighborhood of Manhattan. The project, designed by Gensler, features an acre of amenities, both indoors and outdoors. Compass Development Marketing Group is the exclusive leasing and marketing partner for this project.

Governor Hochul Announces RFP Winner for Affordable Housing at 31-33 West 110th Street in Harlem, Manhattan

Governor Kathy Hochul has announced the winning plan for the redevelopment of Manhattan’s former Lincoln Correctional Facility at 31-33 West 110th Street in Harlem. Named the Seneca project, the project aims to transform the site into an affordable housing development with 105 units. The $90 million initiative, led by Infinite Horizons, L+M Development Partners, Urbane, and Lemor Development Group, is part of the state’s broader strategy to alleviate New York’s housing crisis.
