Brookfield’s Manhattan West complex now includes a new Whole Foods Market within Five Manhattan West. The store occupies 60,245 square feet of the lower level of the building, which is located at 450 West 33rd Street in Hudson Yards.
Extell Development Company has announced a major joint venture with global investment entity Tennor Holding B.V. to complete 50 West 66th Street, a 775-foot-tall residential skyscraper on Manhattan’s Upper West Side. When finished, the building will wrest the title of tallest building in the neighborhood from 200 Amsterdam Avenue.
Howard Hughes Corporation could soon begin construction on a new waterfront restaurant and bar in the South Street Seaport District pending approval by the Landmarks Preservation Commission. Known as Blockhouse Bar, the property is located along the East River Esplanade at 84 John Street, immediately beneath FDR Drive.
The Landmarks Preservation Commission is set to review proposals for the renovation of a 14-story office building at 140 West 57th Street in Midtown. Designed by MdeAs Architects, the scope of work involves alterations to the main façade along West 57th Street, changes to exterior elements at the rear courtyard elevation, renovation of interior spaces, and a partial roof-level expansion.
A 22-story Hyatt Centric hotel in Midtown, Manhattan is on track to open this summer according to a recent update from the project team. The new building is located at 16 East 39th Street and will debut as Hyatt Centric 39th & 5th once a Certificate of Occupancy is issued by the Department of Buildings.
