After our first look at Morris Adjmi’s submission to the Landmark Preservation Commission for 419 Broadway back in October, the SoHo building has been approved following a redesign. The accepted proposal has seen a height reduction, as well as a change to the bulkhead.
Permits have been filed for a 14-story mixed-use building at 199 Chrystie Street, on the Lower East Side. Ian Schrager’s Herzog and de Meuron-designed 215 Chrystie Street is just a few doors down, and its new neighbor will borrow from the same playbook, with massive condominiums indicated in the new building applications.
Permits have been filed for a 21-story mixed-use building at 214 West 72nd Street, on the Upper West Side. The development will sit right on Broadway, the neighborhood’s main artery. The 72nd Street-Broadway Subway Station is just an intersection away, serviced by the 1, 2, and 3 trains. Further down, two avenues to the East is the 72nd Street station on Central Park, serviced by the A, B, and C trains. Manhattan-based SK Development will be responsible for the project.
Permits have been filed for a 12-story mixed-use building at 247 East 117th Street, in East Harlem, Manhattan. The project will be four blocks away from the 116th Street Subway Station, serviced by the 4 and 6 trains. HAP Investment Developers will be responsible for development.
