Unfortunately, due to the actions of a few elected Democrats, these hopes and dreams have now been squashed, as Amazon has now pulled out of Long Island City. Despite petitions and basic organizing advocating for the new HQ2, the combined Twitter presence of a rabid horde of regressive leftists led by Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez generated sufficient outrage for cancellation.

Permits have been filed for a 20-story mixed-use tower at 45-31 Davis Street in Long Island City, Queens. Located off Jackson Avenue, the through lot is one block south of the Court Square subway station, serviced by the 7, E, M, R, and G trains. Amit Veeramachaneni of Ascent Development is listed as the owner behind the applications.
Permits have been filed for a seven-story mixed-used building at 30-88 21st Street in Long Island City, Queens. Located between 30th Drive and 31st Avenue, the corner lot is six blocks west of the 30th Avenue subway station, serviced by the N and W trains. Dean Davaros under the Rio Davaroso Property LLC is listed as the owner behind the applications.
In a surprise announcement, Silverback Development has acquired development rights for a new, 23-story residential project that has already topped-out in Long Island City, Queens. Located at 24-16 Queens Plaza South, the property was previously owned by Greystone Development, who sold the building for approximately $80 million.
