Exterior work is taking shape on Noble LIC, a six-story mixed-use building at 27-09 40th Avenue in Long Island City, Queens. Designed by HCN Design & Consulting and developed by Gus Vorillas and Abdel Aziz Raouf under the 40th Ave. Dutch Kills Realty LLC, the 60-foot-tall structure will span 88,263 square feet and yield 46 condominium units in studio to two-bedroom layouts, as well as 17,918 square feet of manufacturing space. 40th Ave. NY Preferred Development Group is the general contractor and the Patrick Smith Team of The Corcoran Group is handling leasing and marketing for the property, which is located at the corner of 40th Avenue and 28th Street.

Updated Design Revealed for 26-04 Jackson Avenue in Long Island City, Queens

An updated rendering has been revealed for 26-04 Jackson Avenue, a 14-story residential building in Long Island City, Queens. Designed by Kao Hwa Lee Architects and developed by CW Realty, the 149-foot-tall structure will span 58,222 square feet and yield 82 rental units with an average scope of 710 square feet, as well as ground-floor retail space and a cellar level. Jackson Holdings NY LLC is listed as the owner and B Contractors Group is the general contractor for the property, which is located at the corner of Jackson Avenue and 44th Drive.

38-27 32nd Street’s Exterior Progresses in Long Island City, Queens

Exterior work is progressing on 38-27 32nd Street, a ten-story residential building in Long Island City, Queens. Designed by NY Building Associates and developed and built by Yitzchok Katz of Developing NY State under the 39th Ave Equity LLC, the 100-foot-tall structure is being built in tandem with 38-38 32nd Street, a nine-story building next door, and will yield 52 rental units spanning 48,000 square feet and 33 enclosed parking spaces. The site was once home to the Cyril Weinberg Day Habilitation Center, a two-story adult day care center for those with developmental disabilities, and is bound by 33rd Street to the east, 39th Avenue to the south, and 32nd Street to the west.

38-38 32nd Street’s Exterior Takes Shape in Long Island City, Queens

Construction has topped out on 38-38 32nd Street, a nine-story residential building in Long Island City, Queens. Designed by NY Building Associates and developed and built by Yitzchok Katz of Developing NY State under the 39th Ave Equity LLC, the 103-foot-tall structure will span 43,904 square feet and yield 64 rental units with an average scope of 680 square feet, as well as 25 enclosed parking spaces on the ground level and 381 square feet of commercial space. The formerly vacant property is bound by 39th Avenue to the south, 32nd Street to the east, and 31st Street to the west.

27-49 Jackson Avenue’s Expanded Superstructure Tops Out in Long Island City, Queens

Construction has topped out on 27-49 Jackson Avenue, a 14-story residential building in Long Island City, Queens. Originally designed by Raymond Chan Architect and developed by ARCFE, the project stalled in 2020 after only seven floors were built on the westernmost edge of the plot. Work resumed in early 2022 under the ownership of 27-51 Jackson Avenue with an expanded scope, including a wider footprint that extends to the east, and an additional seven levels were built on top. The 161-foot-tall structure will yield 34 apartments on levels three through 14, with no more than four units per story. IX Construction Inc. is the new general contractor for the property, located at the corner of Jackson Avenue and 42nd Road.

Updated Rendering Revealed for 24-01 Queens Plaza North in Long Island City, Queens

An updated exterior rendering was posted for 24-01 Queens Plaza North, a 19-story residential building in Long Island City, Queens. Designed by ODA New York and developed by New Empire Corporation, the 115,000-square-foot structure will yield more than 100 condominium units in studio to two-bedroom layouts, as well as a suite of amenities and commercial space. Nere 218 Management LLC is the owner and New Empire Builder Corp. is the general contractor for the property, which is alternately addressed as 41-45 24th Street and located on an 8,967-square-foot lot at the corner of 24th Street and Queens Plaza North.

Superstructure Work Moves Ahead For The Orchard At 27-48 Jackson Avenue in Long Island City, Queens

Work is steadily rising vertically at 27-48 Jackson Avenue, aka The Orchard, the site of a 69-story residential skyscraper that will become the future tallest structure in Long Island City and in all of Queens. Designed by Perkins Eastman and developed by Building Orchard LLC, the 811-foot-tall tower yield 635,000 square feet with 818 residential units, 11,700 square feet of retail space, and a two-story parking garage in the podium. Triton Construction Company is the general contractor for the property, which is alternately addressed as 43-01 Queens Street and occupies a full city block along Jackson Avenue between Queens and Orchard Streets.

Steel Superstructure Progresses On Public Storage Expansion At 31-28 Northern Boulevard In Long Island City, Queens

Construction is steadily progressing on 31-28 Northern Boulevard, a new 12-story Public Storage facility in Long Island City, Queens. Designed by Tao Architecture + Design, the ground-up development will add more storage units to the company’s multi-building complex. E. W. Howell is the general contractor for the property, which is nestled between two existing sites Public Storage Inc. currently owns and utilizes, and is situated by the corner of Northern Boulevard and 39th Avenue.

Excavation And Pilings Underway At 30-25 Queens Boulevard in Long Island City, Queens

Construction is now underway at 30-25 Queens Boulevard, the site of an upcoming 46-story mixed-use residential skyscraper in Long Island City, Queens. Designed by CetraRuddy Architecture and developed by LargaVista Companies under the 30-25 Queens Boulevard Tenant LLC, the 1,293,315-square-foot complex will stand 517 feet tall. The skyscraper will yield 821,642 square feet allocated towards residential space divided amongst 561 condominium units averaging 1,464 square feet apiece, 471,673 square feet for commercial space, and a cellar level. Leeding Builders Group is the general contractor for the property, which is situated on a 25,177-square-foot lot known as QPX that is collectively comprised of 30-25 Queens Boulevard, 29-10 Northern Boulevard, and 29-14 Queens Plaza East, is located at the corner of Queens Boulevard East and Queens Boulevard, and sits directly west of the exposed rail tracks of Sunnyside Yards.

TF Cornerstone and Culture Lab LIC Reveal the Hunter’s Point South Sculpture Garden in Long Island City, Queens

The Hunter’s Point South Complex in Long Island City, Queens is now home to an outdoor sculpture garden featuring works by three local artists. The sculptures were commissioned by TF Cornerstone and Culture Lab LIC and sit between 5203 and 5241 Center Boulevard.
