An anonymous Brooklyn-based LLC has filed applications for a four-story, 10-unit residential building at 1214 Greene Avenue, in central Bushwick. The project will measure 9,395 square feet and its residential units should average 7,023 square feet apiece, indicative of rental apartments. Some of the apartments will also feature space within the cellar and an upper penthouse level. Laundry facilities will be located in the cellar. Jeffrey Kamen’s NoHo-based architectural firm is the architect of record. The 32-foot-wide, 3,200-square-foot lot is currently vacant. The Central Avenue stop on the M train is seven blocks away.


325 Calyer Street

Four-Story, 37,000-Square-Foot Manufacturing-Medical Building Filed at 325 Calyer Street, Greenpoint

Brooklyn-based property owner Anthony Wala has filed applications to expand the single-story manufacturing warehouse at 325 Calyer Street, in Greenpoint, into a four-story, 36,894-square-foot mixed-use commercial structure. Manufacturing space, making up 18,894 square feet, would be located on the ground, mezzanine, and second floors. Medical office space, totaling 18,000 square feet, would be located on the third and fourth floors. There would also be a 60-car garage on the ground floor. Jeffrey L. Kamen’s NoHo-based architectural firm is the architect of record. The 18,894-square-foot, block-thru lot is located eight blocks from the Greenpoint Avenue stop on the G train. The filings come on the heels of plans for a six-story, car repair-office building at 305 Calyer Street.


81 Starr Street

Four-Story, Eight-Unit Residential Building Coming To 81 Starr Street, Bushwick

Brooklyn-based property owner Solomon Kubitchek has filed applications for a four-story, eight-unit residential building at 81 Starr Street, in western Bushwick, located five blocks from the Central Avenue stop on the M train. The project will total 7,639 square feet and its residential units will average 682 square feet apiece, indicative of rentals. There will be two apartments on each floor. Lower Manhattan-based Jeffrey Kamen is the applicant of record. The 25-foot-wide lot is currently occupied by a single-story warehouse structure. Demolition permits have not yet been filed.

Work Begins At Seven-Story, 17-Unit Mixed-Use Project At 49 Broadway, Williamsburg

Work has begun on a seven-story, 17-unit mixed-use building at 49 Broadway, in Williamsburg, two blocks in from the East River, according to DNAinfo. Hess Management is developing the 17,207 square-foot building, which will feature 5,293 of commercial-retail space on the ground and second levels. A 352 square-foot doctors office is planned on the ground floor, and starting on the third floor, residential units averaging 680 square feet begin. Jeffrey Kamen is designing.
