Construction is about to go vertical at 450 Eleventh Avenue, a 487-foot-tall, 531-room hotel from Starwood Hotels & Resorts Worldwide in Hudson Yards. Designed by DSM Design Group and developed by Marx Development Group, the 43-story tower is one of several new high-rise structures sprouting up around the Jacob K. Javits Center.

Designed by Pelli Clarke Pelli Architects and developed by Rockrose with SLCE as the architect of record, the 52-story structure is rising directly across Eleventh Avenue from the ongoing expansion of the Jacob K. Javits Center. The property will contain 598 rental units.
Construction is now several stories above ground at 601 West 29th Street, a 695-foot-tall residential skyscraper on the border of West Chelsea and Hudson Yards. Also known as Tower A, the 58-story structure is designed by FXCollaborative and developed by Douglaston Development.
The reinforced concrete core of 50 Hudson Yards is approaching the midpoint of its ascent to the supertall’s 1,011-foot parapet. YIMBY visited the site of 99 Hudson Boulevard, a proposed 44-story office tower in Hudson Yards. Few details have been revealed for the 1.3-million-square-foot project since developer Tishman Speyer released renderings last April. Henning Larsen Architects is behind the design, which features a distinctive massing of stacked glass boxes separated by recessed and protruding terraces. The plan calls for floor plates ranging from 50,000 square feet in the base to 22,400 square feet in the main bulk of the edifice.
