City Announces Modular Affordable Housing Development at 581 Grant Avenue in East New York

The Department of Housing Preservation and Development (HPD) has announced plans to build a 167-unit modular housing block in East New York, Brooklyn. From Think! Architecture and Design, the building includes a mix of studios, one-, two-, three-, and four-bedroom units. In addition to a large community area, there will also be a new medical clinic and supportive services for homeless New Yorkers.

City agencies have announced the development of an affordable housing project dedicated to low- and extremely low-income senior citizens in the Soundview section of The Bronx. City Agencies Announce Affordable Housing Complex at Contentious Broadway Triangle Site in Brooklyn

In a recent announcement, New York City’s Department of Housing Preservation and Development (HPD) and the Housing Development Corporation (HDC) revealed a multi-phase affordable housing development in Brooklyn. New York City’s Housing Preservation and Development is listed as the owner behind the applications. In December 2018, the site sought status as an Urban Development Action Area Project. Previous tenants had to vacate their residences in 2008 due to deteriorating structural conditions.
