New York City Football Club Reveals Renderings of 25,000-Seat Willets Point Soccer Stadium in Corona, Queens

In a meeting with Willets Point Queens Community Board 7, the New York City Football Club presented its plans to construct a 25,000-seat soccer stadium near Citi Field in Corona, Queens. Known as the Willets Point Revitalization Plan, the scope of work also includes a 100-percent affordable housing project with more than 2,500 units, a 650-seat school, a 250-key hotel, retail and dining locations, and more than 40,000 square feet of public open space.

Exterior work is nearing completion on the six-story addition atop 60 Charlton Street, an office building in Hudson Square. Alternately addressed as 163 Varick Street, the project is designed by HOK and co-developed by APF Properties, Kenneth Aschendorf, and Berndt Perl, with Stuart Milstein of Drake Street Properties, and brings the structure’s total height to 12 stories and 191 feet tall.

Work is progressing on the six-story addition atop 60 Charlton Street, formally addressed as 163 Varick Street, in Hudson Square. The steel structure will bring the mixed-use building’s total height to 12 stories and 191 feet tall. Designed by HOK and co-developed by APF Properties, Kenneth Aschendorf and Berndt Perl with Stuart Milstein of Drake Street Properties, the commercial property is located at the intersection of Varick Street and Charlton Street, near the entrance to the Holland Tunnel.
