Exterior work nears completion on 555 Greenwich, a 16-story commercial building in Hudson Square. Designed by COOKFOX Architects and developed by Hudson Square Properties, a joint venture by Trinity Church Wall Street, Hines, and Norges Bank Investment Management, the 270,000-square-foot structure connects to the adjacent 345 Hudson Street via a horizontal overbuild to yield a combined 715,000 square feet of office space. Tishman Construction is the general contractor for the property, which is bound by King Street to the north, Charlton Street to the south, and Greenwich Street to the west.

Construction nears completion on The Apsley, a 19-story residential building at 2330 Broadway on Manhattan’s Upper West Side. Designed by SLCE Architects with interiors by Champalimaud Design and developed by Welltower and Hines, the structure yields 76 assisted living and 80 memory care apartments in studio to two-bedroom layouts, with a total capacity of 178 residents. Hunter Roberts Construction Group served as the general contractor for the property, which is located at the corner of Broadway and West 85th Street.

One Madison Avenue’s New Glass Curtain Wall Begins Installation in Flatiron District, Manhattan

The new glass curtain wall has begun installation on One Madison Avenue, a 27-story commercial building in the Flatiron District. Designed by Kohn Pedersen Fox and developed by SL Green, the National Pension Service of Korea, and Hines, the project involves the gut renovation of an eight-story structure and the construction of a new steel-framed addition above its parapet, and will yield 1.4 million square feet of office space and ground-floor retail. NYC Constructors is building the expansion and AECOM Tishman is the construction manager for the property, which occupies a full block at the southeast corner of Madison Square Park between Madison Avenue, Park Avenue South, East 23rd and 24th Streets.
