Reveal For Six-Story, Six-Unit Residential Project At 11 West 126th Street, Harlem

A rendering has been posted on the site of the planned six-story, six-unit residential building under development at 11 West 126th Street, in Harlem. Foundation work is underway, according to Harlem+Bespoke. The structure will encompass 11,061 square feet and the project’s full-floor residential units should average 1,320 square feet apiece, indicative of condominiums. Amenities include private residential storage and a fitness center. The sixth floor apartment will also feature a private roof terrace. Midtown East-based Urban Artisan is the developer, while Midtown South-based Platt Byard Dovell White Architects (PBDW Architects) is behind the design. YIMBY first brought you news of the project when applications were filed in September of 2014. Completion is expected in spring of 2017.


114 West 125th Street

Two-Story, 22,000-Square-Foot Retail Building Planned at 114 West 125th Street, Harlem

Meatpacking District-based Saab Management Company has filed applications for a new two-story, 22,347-square-foot commercial-retail building at 114 West 125th Street, in Harlem. The structure will feature retail space on both floors, with tenant storage space located in the cellar level. Adrian R. Figueroa’s Hudson Square-based SRA Architecture + Engineering is the architect of record. The project would rise on a 30-foot-wide, 3,000-square-foot plot currently occupied by a dilapidated retail structure, most recently leased to Olympic Town. Demolition permits were filed in February. The site is adjacent to the newly completed six-story retail complex at 100 West 125th Street.


3205 Broadway

Foundation Work Begins on Columbia University’s Three-Story University Forum and Academic Conference Center, 3205 Broadway, Harlem

Back in March, a rendering was revealed of Columbia University’s three-story, 55,980-square-foot University Forum and Academic Conference Center at 3205 Broadway, located on a triangular block bound by West 125th and 129th streets and Broadway, in the Manhattanville section of Harlem. At the time, excavation work was underway at the site, but now foundation work has commenced, Harlem+Bespoke reports. The structure will feature a café, an information center, offices and meeting rooms, and two auditoriums. The building is the part of the Columbia’s greater Manhattanville campus, which, when fully built out, will span 17 acres and roughly a dozen buildings. Renzo Piano Building Workshop is the design architect and Dattner Architects is the architect of record. Completion is expected in 2018.


2351 Adam Clayton Powell Jr. Boulevard

Eight-Story, 134-Unit Mixed-Use Building Rises to Third Floor at 2351 Adam Clayton Powell Jr. Boulevard, Harlem

Back in December of 2015, foundation work was reportedly underway for the eight-story, 134-unit mixed-use building at 2351 Adam Clayton Powell Jr. Boulevard, located between West 137th and 138th streets in northern Harlem. Now, construction on the structure is is three stories above street level, Harlem+Bespoke reported. The project, dubbed The Renny, will encompass 198,497 square feet. It will include 17,879 square feet of ground-floor retail space, in addition to 22,327 square feet of space for a religious facility across portions of the cellar through fifth floors. The residential units, located on the third through eighth floors, should average 860 square feet apiece. They will be rentals, and 27 will rent at below-market rates. Amenities include private residential storage, an 67-car underground garage, space for 70 bikes, private residential storage, laundry facilities, a fitness center, an outdoor terrace on the second floor, and a rooftop terrace. BRP Companies is the developer, while GF55 Partners is behind the design. Completion is expected in 2017.
