Exterior work is wrapping up on 537 Summit Avenue, a 754-foot-tall residential skyscraper in Jersey City‘s Journal Squared development and number 18 on our annual end-of-year construction countdown. Designed by HWKN/Hollwich Kushner and Handel Architects and developed by Kushner Real Estate Group, the building is the tallest in the three-tower complex.

443-Unit Residential Tower at ‘Parcel G’ Nears Topping Out in Hunters Point South, Queens

Construction is nearing topping out on Hunters Point South’s ‘Parcel G,’ a 33-story mixed-use tower at the southern tip of the Queens waterfront. Developed by Gotham Organization and designed by Handel Architects with SLCE Architects as the architect of record, the property will include 450 residential units, of which a portion will be designated for affordable housing, as well as a lower-level community facility. The site is located by the intersection of 2nd Street and 56th Avenue.

Construction is rising at 451 Tenth Avenue, a 580-foot-tall mixed-use skyscraper in Hudson Yards and number 28 on our countdown of the tallest buildings under construction in New York. Designed by Handel Architects and developed by Related Companies, the 44-story project is located between Tenth and Eleventh Avenues, directly to the north of Bjarke Ingels‘ The Spiral at 66 Hudson Boulevard.

Phase One of the 100% Affordable Housing Development Sendero Verde Tops Out in Harlem

The first phase of Sendero Verde, a 100-percent affordable housing development, has topped out in East Harlem. L+M Development Partners, Jonathan Rose Companies, Acacia Network are developing the project which will bring 360 units of affordable housing and one superintendent’s unit spread in phase one across two buildings, the 15-story B-North and the ten-story B-South. It also includes space for a school with a full gymnasium, community facility space for Union Settlement Association, and an 18,000-square-foot public courtyard with a children’s play area, outdoor exercise equipment for adults, seating areas, and a stage for community events. Phase one of is designed by Handel Architects.

Madison House Nears Completion at 126 Madison Avenue in NoMad

Exterior work is still wrapping up on Madison House, NoMad’s tallest residential skyscraper at 126 Madison Avenue. Alternately addressed as 15 East 30th Street, the 805-foot-tall, 62-story tower is designed by Handel Architects and developed by Fosun Group and JD Carlisle. Douglas Elliman is handling sales and marketing of its 199 condominiums. The project also includes 7,500 square feet of ground-floor retail space.
