Permits have been filed for a six-story community facility at 132-49 41^st Avenue, in Flushing, Queens. The site is four blocks away from the Main Street Subway Station, the last stop for the 7 Train in Queens. The surrounding area is a relatively dense commercial district compared to the rest of the borough, with the Queens’ Botanical Gardens located seven blocks south. Five blocks further is Flushing Meadows Corona Park. BDW Realty will be responsible for the development.

The site sits two blocks away from the Queens Botanical Garden, part of Flushing Meadows Corona Park, a cultural focal point for the borough. The Main Street Subway Station is nine blocks away, last stop for the 7 train in Queens.

Permits have been filed for an eight-story mixed-use building at 136-78 41^st Avenue, in Flushing, Queens. The construction is three blocks away from the Main Street Station, the last stop for the 7 train in Queens. Two blocks away is the Flushing-Main Street Train Station, serviced by the Port Washington line of the Long Island Rail Road. Developer Hui Chen will be responsible for the project.

Today, YIMBY has the reveal for renderings of 76-28 Parsons Boulevard, in Flushing, Queens. The design, by Tan Architects, shows a low-rise residential structure with sixteen balconies, and evidence of a public terrace on the rooftop. The façade is defined by the balconies and several bands of brown, black, grey, and limestone.

Permits have been filed for a six-story mixed-use building at 144 38^th Avenue, in Flushing, Queens. The development will replace a rather unattractive four-story residential structure. The site is five blocks away from the 7 train’s last stop, Main Street Station. Tan Architects will be responsible for the design. The architecture firm has also recently filed permits for a hotel just a block away from the Main Street station.

Permits Filed for 31-40 Whitestone Expressway, College Point, Queens

Permits have been filed for a new six-story commercial building at 31-40 Whitestone Expressway in Flushing, Queens. The new development comes after Storage Deluxe purchased the site from Cube Smart for $27 million. Their plan is to refurbish the existing building, and erect a second storage building to create a total 179,000 square at the site. Storage Deluxe had sold 21 of its facilities to Cube Smart in 2011 for a total $560 million. The company is responsible for development.

An anonymous LLC has filed permits for an eight-story mixed-use structure in Flushing, Queens. The site, at 136-23 41st Avenue, is in a commercial center of the neighborhood, with several malls and restaurants within the surrounding blocks. The Queens Botanical Garden, Queens Museum, and Citi Field are also nearby. The last stop for 7 trains, at Main Street Station, is just over a block away.

Permits Filed for 91-01 Whitney Avenue, Flushing, Queens

Permits have been filed for a new eight-story residential building at 91-01 Whitney Avenue, in Flushing, Queens. The site is two blocks away from the 90^th Street-Elmhurst Avenue subway station, serviced by the 7 train. The surrounding neighborhood is predominantly residential to the south, with a couple dozen blocks of commercial space to the east, along Roosevelt Avenue and 37^th Avenue.

New 65-Unit Residential Project Coming to 136-78 41st Avenue, Flushing, Queens

Back in December of 2016, developer Hui Chen acquired 136-78 41st Avenue, in Flushing, for $9.32 million. While DOB applications have yet to be filed for the site, today, YIMBY has the first rendering for the project, which is being designed by Raymond Chan Architect, PC.

Five blocks to the northeast of the Main Street stop on the 7 Train, Flushing is about to see yet another new mixed-use development. Applications have been filed for a seven-story building at 35-22 Parsons Boulevard, on the site of an existing assortment of one-story retail space.
