200 Amsterdam Avenue’s Duplex Penthouse Model Coming Soon to Manhattan’s Upper West Side

The Upper West Side’s top-selling new development, 200 Amsterdam, has shared with YIMBY that a new penthouse designed by Studio Mellone will be unveiled in the coming months. As a part of the building’s Penthouse Collection, the residence sits amongst the top floors of the 52-story, 668-foot-tall, 112-unit, and 300,000-square foot condominium tower, which is located on the corner of 69th Street and Amsterdam Avenue. The Art Deco-inspired tower was designed by Elkus Manfredi Architects, and developed by SJP Properties and Mitsui Fudosan America, with interior spaces by CetraRuddy. Closings are underway, and prices for available one- to five-bedroom residences starts at $3.1 million. The Penthouse Collection includes full-floor and duplex residences beginning at $17.9 million.

Haus25 Wraps Up Construction at 25 Columbus Drive in Jersey City

At number 24 on YIMBY’s annual construction countdown is Haus25, a 626-foot-tall mixed-use skyscraper nearing completion at 25 Columbus Drive in Jersey City. Designed by Elkus Manfredi Architects and developed by Veris Residential, the 57-story tower will yield 750 units with interiors designed by Fogarty Finger and a school designed by KSS Architects in the low-rise podium. Melillo + Bauer Associates is the landscape designer, DeSimone Consulting Engineers is the structural engineer, Inglese Architecture + Engineering is the Civil Engineer, and AMA Consulting Engineers is the mechanical engineer for the project, which is bound by Christopher Columbus Drive to the north, Montgomery Street to the south, Washington Street to the east, and Warren Street to the west.

200 Amsterdam’s Building Permits Upheld in Victorious New York Court of Appeals Ruling

Yesterday 200 Amsterdam Avenue, a 668-foot-tall residential tower on Manhattan’s Upper West Side, conclusively won the long legal battle that allows for new construction without the fear of new retroactively enforced interpretations on those permits. The New York Court of Appeals denied an opposition group’s attempt to appeal a previous court’s ruling upholding the validity of 200 Amsterdam’s building permits. Earlier this year, a previous ruling from the New York State Appellate Division, First Department, ruled in favor of developers SJP Properties and Mitsui Fudosan America by unanimously overturning the lower court’s ruling. The trial court ruling sought to apply a retroactive draft zoning interpretation which would reduce the height of the constructed 52-story building designed by Elkus Manfredi.
