180 East 88th Street’s Façade Nears Completion on the Upper East SIde

The brick and architecturally finished concrete façade of 180 East 88th Street is getting very close to completion. The 31-story reinforced concrete skyscraper holds the title of the tallest structure on the Upper East Side above 72nd Street. The residential project is designed by DDG, with HTO Architects serving as the architect of record. Petersen Tegl, a Denmark-based firm, is in charge of the Kolumba masonry brick façade. The narrow property will yield 100,242 square feet of residential space, averaging 2,088 square feet per unit. There will also be 10,255 square feet of residential amenities and 1,093 square feet of communal facilities on the lower part of the superstructure.

532 West 20th Street Continues to Rise Near the High Line, in Chelsea

Construction is nearing the halfway mark at 532 West 20th Street, an 11-story condominium in Chelsea. A large amount of formwork is visible on the main façade as crews build out the walls of the fourth and fifth floors. Located between Tenth Avenue and Eleventh Avenue, the structure is being constructed by design-build firm DDG, which purchased the plot for $24.25 million in 2014. The building will contain 27,019 square feet of residential space divided into nine apartments, for an average of 3,000 square feet apiece. The site is a short walk from the High Line, the waterfront, and Chelsea Piers.

Unique Brick Façade and New Interior Shots Unveiled For 100 Franklin Street, in Tribeca

The uniquely detailed façade of 100 Franklin Street in the Tribeca East Historic District is beginning to be revealed. The residential project consists of conjoined triangular-shaped buildings on a narrow property, yielding ten full-floor residences. Half of the scaffolding and white sheathing that was covering the main eastern elevation has now been disassembled, exposing its detailed masonry craftsmanship. DDG is the architect of the project. The intricately detailed curtain wall uses hand-laid Petersen Tegl bricks. Douglas Elliman is in charge of handling sales.

The exterior curtain wall at 180 East 88th Street is making substantial progress as it swiftly encloses the 31-story reinforced concrete structure. The tower is now the tallest skyscraper on the Upper East Side above 72nd Street, with design by DDG. HTO Architects is serving as the architect of record, and Petersen Tegl, a Denmark-based firm, is in charge of the Kolumba masonry brick facade. The property will yield around 130,000 square feet of residential space when complete, averaging over 2,700 square feet per unit. There will be 52,000 square feet of communal facilities on the lower floors, and the remaining 1,100 square feet will be dedicated to commercial use.

YIMBY has an exclusive new rendering for 100 Franklin in Tribeca, the latest venuture by developer DDG. Known as the JR Building and located between West Broadway and Sixth Avenue, the project is named after the street art installations by French graffiti artist JR that once stood on-site. Comprised of two triangular structures, the project will yield 10 spacious condominiums, with retail also situated on the ground floor.
