The Winslow Wraps Up Construction at 26-25 4th Street in Astoria, Queens

Construction is finishing up on The Winslow, a 19-story residential building at 26-25 4th Street in the Halletts Point section of Astoria, Queens. Designed by J Frankl Associates and developed by Bruman Realty, the 204-foot-tall structure spans 289,000 square feet and yields 165 rental apartments in studio to three-bedroom layouts with leasing by Nooklyn, as well as a 101-vehicle parking garage. The property is located between 26th and 27th Avenues.

The Treadwell Completes Construction at 249 East 62nd Street on Manhattan’s Upper East Side

Construction is complete on The Treadwell, a 28-story residential tower at 249 East 62nd Street in the Treadwell Farm Historic District of Manhattan’s Upper East Side. Designed by INC Architecture & Design and developed by Dart Interests, the 347-foot-tall Art Deco-inspired building will yield 66 condominium units in studio to three-bedroom layouts with prices ranging from $1.005 million to $3.95 million. Brown Harris Stevens Development is managing sales and marketing for the homes, SLCE Architects is the executive architect, CM & Associates is the general contractor, and Zeckendorf Development is the co-development manager for the project, which stands near the corner of Second Avenue and East 62nd Street.

One High Line’s Public Plaza Takes Shape at 500 West 18th Street in Chelsea, Manhattan

Construction is progressing on the lower levels of One High Line, a pair of twisting structures at 500 West 18th Street in Chelsea, Manhattan. Designed by Bjarke Ingels Group and developed by Witkoff Group and Access Industries, the 36- and 26-story structures will span 900,000 square feet and yield 236 condominium units in one- to five-bedroom layouts, as well as a hotel component operated by Faena Hotel, ground-floor retail space, and a new plaza separately designed by Diller Scofidio + Renfro and Field Operations. Suffolk Construction is the general contractor, Enea Landscape Architecture is the landscape architect, and Corcoran Sunshine Marketing Group is handling sales and marketing for the property, which is alternately addressed as 76 Eleventh Avenue and stands adjacent to the High Line on a trapezoidal plot bound by West 18th Street to the north, West 17th Street to the south, Tenth Avenue to the east, and West Street to the west.

ODA’s 126 East 57th Street Climbs Above Podium Levels in Midtown, Manhattan

Construction continues to rise on 126 East 57th Street, a 28-story residential tower on Billionaires’ Row in Midtown East, Manhattan. Designed by ODA Architecture and developed by MRR Development under the MRR 1326 LLC, the 346-foot-tall structure will yield 147 condominium units with an average scope of 1,156 square feet, as well as 5,000 square feet of lower-level retail space. WSP USA is the engineer and Plaza Construction is the general contractor for the property, which is located at the corner of East 56th Street and Lexington Avenue, with a narrow panhandle extension to East 57th Street.

50 Ninth Avenue Nears Completion in Chelsea, Manhattan

Construction is nearing completion on 50 Ninth Avenue, a nine-story commercial renovation and expansion on the border of Chelsea, the Meatpacking District, and the West Village. Designed by BKSK Architects for Tavros Capital with Fogarty Finger responsible for all interiors and the storefront, the project involves the restoration of a row of low-rise landmarked townhomes and the construction of a modern volume above, and will yield 57,000 square feet of office space and 30,000 square feet of flexible retail space. Broadway Construction is the general contractor for the property, which is alternately addressed as 351-355 West 14th Street and located at the corner of Ninth Avenue and West 14th Street.

14 White Street Rises Above Street Level in Tribeca, Manhattan

Construction is rising on 14 White Street, a seven-story residential building in Tribeca East Historic District. Designed by DXA Studio and developed by 14 White Street Property Owner LLC, the 30,000-square-foot structure will yield ten condominium units ranging from 1,200-square-foot two-bedroom homes to four-bedroom layouts spanning 4,000 square feet, as well as 3,000 square feet of retail space on the ground floor and cellar. NAVA is the interior designer and Central is the general contractor for the property, which is bound by White Street to the south and Sixth Avenue to the east.

Wells Fargo Begins Retail-to-Office Conversion of 20 Hudson Yards in Hudson Yards, Manhattan

Work is ramping up on the office conversion of a section of The Shops & Restaurants at Hudson Yards shopping mall in Hudson Yards, Manhattan. Designed by Kohn Pedersen Fox and developed by Related Companies, the project involves the replacement of 20 Hudson Yards’ façade and the repurposing of the top three stories of the former Nieman Marcus department store into 445,000 square feet of office space for Wells Fargo. The company plans to consolidate most of its New York workforce into the building, which will accommodate 2,300 employees and provide an easier link with its other employees spread across nine stories at 30 Hudson Yards.

501 Ninth Avenue Rises Above Street Level in Midtown, Manhattan

Construction is rising on 501 Ninth Avenue, a 12-story residential building in Midtown, Manhattan on the border of Hudson Yards and the Garment District. Designed by Archimaera Architecture and developed by ZD Jasper Realty under the ZDJ Hudson Yards LLC, the structure is being constructed alongside its 120-foot-tall identical counterpart at 489 Ninth Avenue at the southern end of the parcel. The two buildings will collectively span 220,000 square feet and yield 174 condominium units with an average scope of 970 square feet, as well as ground-floor commercial space, a cellar level, and a 30-foot-long rear yard. Warner Construction Services Inc. is the general contractor for both properties, which are bound by West 38th Street to the north, West 37th Street to the south, Ninth Avenue to the east, and Dyer Avenue to the west.

New Renderings Revealed For One Grand At 76 Varick Street in Hudson Square, Manhattan

New renderings have been revealed for One Grand, a 28-story mixed-use building at 76 Varick Street in Hudson Square, Manhattan. Designed by SHoP Architects and developed by Taconic Investment Partners and Nuveen Real Estate, the 430,763-square-foot structure will yield offices, a public grade school, and retail space. Trinity Real Estate is the owner of the vacant lot, which is alternately addressed as Two Hudson Square and bound by Grand Street to the north, Canal Street to the south, Varick Street to the west, and Sullivan Street, Duarte Square, and Sixth Avenue to the east.

7 Platt Street Rises Above Street Level in Financial District, Manhattan

Construction is rising on 7 Platt Street, a 37-story mixed-use building in the Financial District of Lower Manhattan. Designed by Hill West Architects and developed by The Moinian Group, the 464-foot-tall structure will span 267,760 square feet and yield 250 rental apartments with interiors by Fogarty Finger, as well as 43,740 square feet of retail space on the first five stories and 34 below-grade parking spaces. Titanium Construction is the general contractor for the property, which is alternately addressed as 110 John Street and located on an interior lot bound by John Street to the north and Platt Street to the south.
