Construction is about to top out on 204 4th Avenue, a 13-story residential building in Gowanus, Brooklyn. Designed by L+Z Architecture and developed by Avery Hall and Gindi Capital, the 200,000-square-foot structure will yield 193 rental units and 14,000 square feet of ground-floor retail space. Leeding Builders Group is the general contractor for the half-acre rectangular property, which is alternately addressed as 655 Union Street and bound by Sackett Street to the north and Raul Vasquez Jr. Place to the south.

New Renderings Revealed For The Arabella at 4720 Third Avenue in Belmont, The Bronx 

New renderings have been revealed for The Arabella, a nine-story residential building under construction at 4720 Third Avenue in the Belmont section of The Bronx. Designed by Ismael Leyva Architects and developed by Vertical Community Development and Sioni Group, the topped-out structure will yield 165 market rate and affordable units as well as two-stories of retail space and a collection of amenities throughout. Interiors of the project were designed by Marin Architects and thoughtfully curated throughout. Structural Engineers is the structural engineer, REAL New York is handling leasing and marketing, and OmniBuild Construction is the general contractor for the project, which occupies a large trapezoidal plot bound by East 189th Street to the north, East 188th Street to the south, Washington Avenue to the east, and Third Avenue to the west.

Construction is nearing completion on 139 Bowery, a 14-story mixed-use residential building in the Bowery section of Manhattan’s Lower East Side. Designed by Raymond Chan Architects and developed by Global Joint Venture, the structure was last reported to yield 16 rental units as well as ground-floor retail space, a 550-square-foot medical facility, and office space spanning floors two through five. Mandarin Enterprises is the general contractor for the property, which is located on a relatively narrow plot between Broome and Grand Streets.

Perelman Performing Arts Center Opens To The Public At The World Trade Center in Financial District

Yesterday at noon the long-awaited Perelman Performing Arts Center (PAC NYC) opened to the general public on the 16-acre World Trade Center site at 251 Fulton Street in the Financial District. Designed by REX with Davis Brody Bond Architects as the executive architect and developed by The Perelman, the 138-foot tall, 129,000-square-foot cubic structure features three flexible performance spaces: the 450-seat John E. Zuccotti Theater, the 250-seat Mike Nichols Theater, and the 99-seat Doris Duke Foundation Theater, all enclosed in a translucent book-matched marble façade. The $500 million property is bound by Vesey Street to the north, Fulton Street to the south, Greenwich Street to the east, and Skidmore Owings & Merrill‘s One World Trade Center to the west.

3ELEVEN Completes Construction at 601 West 29th Street in West Chelsea, Manhattan 

Construction is complete on 3ELEVEN, a 60-story residential skyscraper at 601 West 29th Street along the border of West Chelsea and Hudson Yards. Designed by FXCollaborative and developed by Douglaston Development, the 695-foot-tall structure is also known as Tower A alongside the shorter 606 West 30th Street and yields 935 rental units, with 235 designated for affordable housing, as well as 15,000 square feet of retail space on the podium floors. ES Windows supplied the glass curtain wall and Levine Builders served as the general contractor for the property, which is alternately addressed as 311 Eleventh Avenue and bound by West 30th Street to the north, West 29th Street to the south, and Eleventh Avenue to the east.
