Future Look At Midtown’s Supertall Skyline Circa 2022

There are few places better than Central Park to truly appreciate the scale of New York City. The cliff-like transition from Midtown to Olmsted’s masterpiece is part of what attracts people to the city, and it’s only getting more dramatic. Today YIMBY has a fresh rendering by Jose Hernandez, based on a photograph by Andrew Campbell Nelson from the Met’s Rooftop Garden, which reveals exactly how the skyline is expected to change through 2022 and currently appears in an exhibit at The Skyscraper Museum, in Lower Manhattan.

Pacific Park’s Newest 750-Unit Tower Revealed at 18 Sixth Avenue in Prospect Park, Brooklyn

Details have been revealed for an enormous new 750-unit residential tower at 18 6th Avenue, in Prospect Heights, Brooklyn. The site is right beside the Barclays Center and is part of Pacific Park, formerly known as Atlantic Yards,  a multi-billion dollar 22-acre mega-project that has already seen the completion of four of fifteen eventual buildings. TF Cornerstone and The Brodsky Organization have also now joined Greenland Forest City Partners to finish the project, acquiring land where three of the prospective future skyscrapers will imminently rise.

YIMBY Tours Brookfield’s Manhattan West Development, First Look at Rooftop Views

Brookfield has officially celebrated the topping out of the 67-story One Manhattan West, aka OMW, the largest of six structures in their six million square foot Manhattan West development in Midtown West. The project has successfully lured several large companies to lease, and plans to add a significant amount of public space to the city. Virgin Hotel Gets Glassy at 1225 Broadway, Nearly Two-Thirds Of The Way to Topping-Out

Construction on the Virgin Hotel at 1225 Broadway has reached yet another milestone. Since we last checked in May, the building has more than doubled in height, and is nearly two-thirds of the way to topping out 38 floors above street level. The project is being developed by the Lam Group and is part of a larger trend of new hotel towers in the NoMad area near the Empire State Building.
