The Leyton Wraps Up Construction at 1059 Third Avenue on Manhattan’s Upper East Side

Construction is now complete on The Leyton, a 30-story residential tower at 1059 Third Avenue on Manhattan’s Upper East Side. Designed by Manuel Glas Architects and developed by Dart Interests and Real Estate Inverlad, the 481-foot-tall structure spans 127,000 square feet and will yield 38 condominium units with interior design by Frampton Co. and Champalimaud Design. The residential program includes ten full-floor homes and one duplex penthouse. Brown Harris Stevens Development Marketing is leading sales and marketing for the property, which is located by the intersection of Third Avenue and East 63rd Street.

131-141 East 47th Street’s Façade Nears Pinnacle in Midtown East, Manhattan

Façade installation is moving along on 131-141 East 47th Street, a 34-story residential skyscraper in Midtown East. Designed by Ismael Leyva Architects and developed by Hopson Development Holdings, the 500-foot-tall structure will yield 191 condominium units in studio to two-bedroom layouts, as well as 5,000 square feet of ground-floor retail space. Structure Tech New York and Cauldwell Wingate are in charge of constructing the tower, which is located between Lexington and Third Avenues.

Developers Complete 34,000-Square-Foot Penthouse Addition at 295 Fifth Avenue in Midtown, Manhattan

Construction is complete on a new two-story penthouse space atop 295 Fifth Avenue, a 16-story commercial building in Midtown South, Manhattan. Designed by Studios Architecture and developed by Tribeca Investment Group, PGIM Real Estate, and Meadow Partners, the 34,000-square-foot space will contain modern light-filled workspaces and multiple wraparound terraces with sweeping views of the Midtown skyline.

Excavation Underway for 33-Story Tower at 1299 Third Avenue on Manhattan’s Upper East Side

Excavation work is underway at 1299 Third Avenue, the site of a 33-story residential tower on Manhattan’s Upper East Side. Designed by SLCE Architects and developed by Elad Group, which purchased the plot for $61 million in April, the 420-foot-tall structure will yield 47 units. Press Builders is the general contractor for the property, which is located between East 74th and East 75th Streets.

West End Labs’ Office and Laboratory Conversion Nears Completion on Manhattan’s Upper West Side

Work is finishing up on West End Labs at 125 West End Avenue, an eight-story commercial building on Manhattan’s Upper West Side. Designed by Taconic Partners, Jaros, Baum & Bolles (JB&B), and Perkins+Will and developed by Taconic and Nuveen Real Estate, the project involves the full re-cladding of the structure’s exterior and conversion of its 400,000 square feet of interiors into a life sciences and research laboratory. CBRE is leading marketing and leasing and JRM Construction Management is the general contractor for the property, which is located at the corner of West 66th Street and West End Avenue, a short walk from Riverside Park South.

YIMBY Scopes Views From Foster + Partners’ 425 Park Avenue in Midtown East, Manhattan

YIMBY toured 425 Park Avenue, a completed 47-story commercial skyscraper in Midtown East and the first new full-block building constructed along Park Avenue’s Plaza District in nearly half a century. Designed by Lord Norman Foster of Foster + Partners and developed by L&L Holding Company, Tokyu Land Corporation, and co-managing partner BentallGreenOak, the 897-foot-tall tower yields 667,000 square feet of flexible Class A office space with panoramic views up and down Park Avenue and over Midtown, Manhattan. Adamson Associates Architects was the architect of record, WSP was the structural and MEP engineer, R&R Scaffolding provided the BMU, and Tishman Construction was the construction manager for the property, which is located between East 55th and East 56th Streets.

532 Clinton Avenue Nears Completion in Clinton Hill, Brooklyn

Construction is nearing completion on 532 Clinton Avenue, a seven-story residential building in Clinton Hill, Brooklyn. Designed by Afshari PC and developed by 532 Clinton LLC, which purchased the site for $6.5 million in 2019, the 80-foot-tall structure will yield 30,000 square feet with 14 units in one- to three-bedroom layouts. Avo Construction is the general contractor for the property, which is located between Fulton Street to the north and Vanderbilt Avenue to the south.

249 East 62nd Street’s Exterior Takes Shape on Manhattan’s Upper East Side

Exterior work is progressing on 249 East 62nd Street, a 28-story residential tower on Manhattan’s Upper East Side. Designed by INC Architecture & Design with SLCE Architects as the executive architect and developed by Zeckendorf Development, the 347-foot-tall structure will yield 66 condominium units with two to four homes per level. Brown Harris Stevens Development Marketing is handling sales and marketing and CM & Associates is the general contractor for the property, which is located by the corner of Second Avenue and East 62nd Street.

Trio Finishes Construction at 27-19 Thomson Avenue in Long Island City, Queens

Construction is complete on Trio, a ten-story residential building at 27-19 Thomson Avenue in Long Island City, Queens. Designed by MY Architect PC and developed by Thomson Development, the 116-foot-tall structure will yield 30 units spread across 23,012 square feet, as well as 5,039 square feet of ground-floor retail space. Warner Construction Services was the general contractor for the project, which is located on trapezoidal plot bound by Thomson Avenue and 44th Drive.

Excavation Begins for 1 St. Mark’s Place in East Village, Manhattan

Excavation has begun at 1 St. Mark’s Place, the site of a nine-story commercial building in the East Village. Designed by Morris Adjmi Architects and developed by Real Estate Equities Corporation, the structure will yield 53,000 square feet of office space and approximately 7,700 square feet of ground-floor retail space. The Rinaldi Group of New York is the general contractor, SDG Engineering PC is the structural engineer, and ICOR Associates is the MEPS engineer for the property, which is alternately addressed as both 3 St. Mark’s Place and 23-25 Third Avenue and is located at the corner of St. Mark’s Place and Third Avenue.
