The West’s Façade Continues Installation at 547 West 47th Street in Hell’s Kitchen

Exterior work is progressing on The West, a 12-story residential building at 547 West 47th Street in Hell’s Kitchen. Located between West 47th Street and West 48th Street, the 201,000-square-foot project is designed by Concrete and developed by Ironstate Development, CB Developers, and SK Development Group, which purchased the property for $93 million in the summer of 2018. The developers are aiming for LEED certification.

Construction has topped out at The West, a full-block residential development at 547 West 47th Street in Hell’s Kitchen. Designed by Concrete and developed by Ironstate Development, CB Developers, and SK Development Group, the 12-story structure spans 30,000 square feet. The rectangular lot, which is located between West 47th Street and West 48th Street, was purchased for $93 million in the summer of 2018. Concrete also did the interior design.

Phase II of URBY Harrison Opens at 777 South 3rd Street in Harrison, New Jersey

Located at 777 South 3rd Street in Harrison, New Jersey, the second phase of development at Harrison URBY has opened its doors. The site’s first building opened in this location back in 2017, and was quickly occupied. The interiors and exteriors are designed by Dutch firm Concrete Architects, with Phase II resulting in a total of 270 new residential apartments.

URBY Breaks Ground on Its Fourth Iteration in Downtown Stamford, Connecticut

Today YIMBY has the latest on RXR’s imminent opening of Atlantic Station in Downtown Stamford, Connecticut, but that isn’t the only news out of the city. Yesterday was the groundbreaking event for yet another new rental, by Urban Ready Living ( i.e. URBY), which will be building its fourth iteration, following others in Staten Island, Jersey City, and Harrison, NJ. The development occupies a 4.3-acre lot, and is being built by Ironstate Development Co., in a joint venture partnership with Brookfield Property Group. Stamford Mayor David Martin also participated in the event, and expressed joy for finally filling the space he referred to as the infamous “hole in the ground.”
