The project has been shrouded in mystery regarding a potential deal with the Trader Joe’s grocery chain for 18,000 square feet of the ground floor and cellar.
Permits have been filed for Avery Hall Investment’s two-building development in Park Slope, Brooklyn. YIMBY last reported on the pre-filing for the six-story building at 680 Baltic Street in mid-October. Now, we also see specifics for the four-story 126 Fifth Avenue building. AHI is developing both buildings.
Permits have been filed for a five-story mixed-use building at 712 East 187th Street, in Belmont, The Bronx. This would replace a single-story retail structure. The proposal is mostly residential, with space also included for a community facility and commercial retail. The two nearest subway stations are on 183rd street, one serviced by the B and D trains, and the other, the 4 train. They’re both about a half hours’ walk.
Permits have been filed for a six-story mixed-use building at 325 Gates Avenue, in Bedford-Stuyvesant, Brooklyn. The site is seven blocks away from the Bedford-Nostrand Avenue station serviced by the G train, and eight blocks away from the Franklin Avenue station, serviced by the A and C trains. It is nearby the Pratt Institute’s Brooklyn Campus, which could mean it will be marketed towards college students or recent graduates. Renaissance Realty Group is developing.
Delancey Street Associates has launched leasing for 350,000 square feet of office space in Essex Crossing. This will be the first significant block of Class-A office space to come to Manhattan’s Lower East Side, and the developers hope the quasi-historic surrounds and combination of new and existing retail will be enough to lure tenants.
