Plans to construct the 10.5-acre Urban Village mega-complex in East New York, Brooklyn, are now under review by the New York City Department of Buildings. The complex is being developed by Gotham Organization, Monadnock Development, and the Christian Cultural Center and is bound by Pennsylvania Avenue to the northeast, Flatlands Avenue to the northwest, and Louisiana Avenue to the southwest.
In December, SL Green announced a partnership with Roc Nation in a bid to win development rights to construct a new Caesars Palace casino and hotel at 1515 Broadway in Times Square, Manhattan. The Gotham Organization has revealed a collection of new interior photos of The Suffolk, a 30-story mixed-use tower on the Lower East Side of Manhattan. Located at 55 Suffolk Street, the building is designed by Dattner Architects with JG Neukomm Architecture and contains a mix of 378 rental units, a large suite of amenity spaces, a 40,000-square-foot community facility for the Chinese-American Planning Council, a 4,000-square-foot cultural heritage center for Beth Hamedrash Hagodol, and 18,000 square feet of retail space.
New York-based investment group 601W Companies has landed $375 million to finance the acquisition, renovation, and lease-up of Harborside 1-3, a three-building office complex in Jersey City. The property flanks the Hudson River and comprises more than 2 million square feet of commercial space.
GoodVets, a national veterinary clinic, will open its first Brooklyn location at 125 Montague Street in Brooklyn Heights. The ground-floor commercial space comprises 2,900 square feet and formerly housed an Ann Taylor Loft retail store.
