The Landmarks Preservation Commission (LPC) will soon review updated proposals to redevelop an existing two-story warehouse into an 11-story commercial building at 29 Jay Street in Brooklyn. Designed by Marvel Architects, the updated proposals refer specifically to the building’s facade and required mechanicals on the roof level.
Leasing has officially kicked off at The Bridge, a newly renovated commercial property located near the southern boundary of Long Island City. The seven-story building is located at 24-02 49th Avenue and comprises approximately 830,000 square feet.
Construction has topped out on Queens Plaza Park, aka Sven, a 762-foot-tall mixed-use skyscraper at 29-37 41st Avenue in Long Island City. Designed by Handel Architects for The Durst Organization, the 67-story tower now stands as the second-tallest building in Queens.
Gabellini Sheppard Associates has proposed an extensive redesign of existing lighting fixtures in an effort to improve the illumination of distinguished artworks throughout Rockefeller Center. The scope of work covers nearly every building and their respective façades between West 48th Street and West 51st Street, spanning Sixth Avenue, Rockefeller Plaza, and Fifth Avenue.
Proposals to demolish, renovate, and expand the neglected façade of 1177 Broadway are now under review by the Landmarks Preservation Commission. The project is located between West 27th Street and West 28th Street in the Madison Square North Historic District and will operate as a commercial property with ground-floor retail space and offices above.
