The affordable housing lottery has launched for Tower 77, a nine-story mixed-use building at 85 Commercial Street in Greenpoint, Brooklyn. Designed by CetraRuddy Architecture and developed by Clipper Equity, the structure yields 240 residences. Available on NYC Housing Connect are 230 units for residents at 40 to 125 percent of the area median income (AMI), ranging in eligible income from $32,023 to $218,875.

New Renderings for Four-Building “Gramercy Square” Development, Gramercy

Today, YIMBY has the reveal for some new renderings of the Gramercy Square residential complex, in Gramercy Park, Manhattan. The Chetrit Group and Clipper Equity are responsible for the project, which is comprised of four condominium buildings: The Tower at 215 East 19th Street, The Prewar at 225 East 19th Street, The Modern at 230 East 20th Street, and The Boutique at 220 East 20th Street. The Modern will be a new seven-story building, while the others will repurpose older structures for condominium use, with concurrent façade alterations. All are connected by way of 20,000 square feet of gardens.

14-Story, 279-Key Esplendor Bossert Brooklyn Hotel Will Open in October at 98 Montague Street, Brooklyn Heights

Back in 2012, Clipper Equity and the Chetrit Group acquired, from the Jehovah’s Witnesses for $81 million, the 14-story Bossert Hotel building at 98 Montague Street, in Brooklyn Heights. It has since been undergoing a conversion back to the structure’s original use as a hotel, and now it has been revealed that the the building will open on October 1, the Brooklyn Daily Eagle reported. Re-dubbed Esplendor Bossert Brooklyn, it will be operated by Fën Hotels. The latest building permits indicate there will be 279 hotel rooms. It will feature a 1,997-square-foot restaurant on the first floor, a 2,995-square-foot lobby café, and a 2,300-square-foot restaurant on the 14th floor. The rooftop terrace will measure 1,922 square feet and will be utilized by the restaurant. New York-based Gwathmey Siegel Kaufman + Associates Architects (GSKA) is behind the design of the renovation. The building sits within the Brooklyn Heights Historic District.

New Renderings, Details For Multi-Building, 223-Unit Residential Conversion Of Cabrini Medical Center, Gramercy

In early 2015, YIMBY revealed renderings of the multi-building, 223-unit residential conversion of the former Cabrini Medical Center, located in Gramercy on the block bound by Second and Third Avenues and East 19th and 20th Streets. Now, Curbed NY has the latest details and renderings of the project, dubbed Gramercy Square, which include slight modifications to the exterior and slightly different unit counts. At 215 East 19th Street, the main 16-story hospital building will get a new façade and will get 130 condominiums, down from 140. The building at 225 East 19th Street will be transformed into 48 residential units, down from 54. The new-construction building at 220 East 20th Street will have eight full-floor units, and the last property at 230 East 20th Street will be converted into 37 units. The entire development will have 12,000 square feet of amenity space. Chetrit Group, Clipper Equity, and Real Property Group are developing, and Woods Bagot is designing.
